I'll keep this brief since there are a million of these already. The first Diablo = highly entertaining. Diablo two, however, is the most addictive, compelling, and FUN game I have ever played. People who don't even like the hack-and-slash adventure genre can still get a kick out of it. Seriously, read those more in-depth reviews if you doubt me. But the big question is, why don't you own this game already?Get more detail about

Nazi-bashing, super-natural nazi undead demon monsters and not much else. Grphics ok, but not great, Layout of Levels and Maps nice, but nothing new (Castle, farm, church, train station, etc.). Takes about 12 hours to complete in SP, didn't try MP yet.
If you like RTCW it's nice, otherwise you might want to take a closer look at it before buying.Get more detail about

Aion is a very pretty game, no doubt about that. I've played WOW and WAR extensively and the graphics here are better than either. It also plays pretty smoothly on my rig. I have a GTX-295 which helps a bit.
When I created my first character and entered the game the chat panel was continuously scrolling with spam advertizing gold sites. You can't use it and there's no way to report spam. This HAS to be fixed soon! Damn gold farmers infest every new game.
Working my way from level 1 to 5 I kept running out of quests. There simply are not enough quests to keep you leveling up. You have to grind to get XP. This is lame.
I cancelled my account already. I'm going back to WOW.Get more detail about

Ok, well I bought this warcraft war chest because 24-7 World of Warcraft (minus the 8 painful hours of maintenance on Tuesdays) just isnt enough. I actually played this game years ago, before WOW came onto the scene (and from what I can tell pretty much killed the PC gaming market). It is still great fun, very smart, and if you are a WOW addict gives you some nice back story and a way to get up close and personal with the various WOW bosses. If not, it is a great blizzard RTS (real time strategy -- I think this is the category this game falls into anyway). And if you are waiting for Starcraft 2, this will entertain you during your wait (or during the 8 hours of WOW maintenance on Tuesdays!)Get more detail about
Warcraft III Battle Chest.Date Published: Oct 18, 2009 - 6:44 am

I'd never played any of the OFP games before this one and I'm impressed, it has been too long since there's been an approachable military tactical like the GRAW and Rainbow Six Vegas games. One thing you should do if you are only a slightly more than casual player is get a trainer/cheat, otherwise it's too realistic and it seems like you would die a lot as you are expected to work miracles in some missions. It's also not that large of a game in terms of GB's and the missions and number of commands are not ponderously huge like the ARMA games.
The missions are made pretty clear by HQ and you have HUD checkpoints and objectives as well as a map to keep you moving towards the objectives. Commands to your team are easily done with the radial menu in game by pushing the Q button and navigating to your command via the WSAD buttons. This is also how you call in support like mortars, artillery and airstrikes. You can also give commands via the map screen but it's not really recommended as the map is only zoomable to a grid size, not a tactical size. Once you give your command you announce it in the grid coordinates, which seems a little overdone when you are just ordering your team to a point you can see, I can see this making sense for out of visual contact things like the artillery and the like though. A bad thing is that when you order your team to move to a point it seems it takes them a long time to get there or they don't move there when under fire, what's the point of ORDERS then? Another thing is if you have to jump out of a vehicle and run to stay alive your team NEEDS to be ordered to follow you, as if.
Vehicles are pretty straight forward to get into and either drive or be a passenger and you can switch to a swingman view for this if you want. You can only see immediately in front while in swingman/follower view though instead of using the mouse to look left/R/behind so that's a negative aspect of the vehicles. All I saw that you can use is 4 wheel cars, no tanks or planes.
The missions are pretty huge as far as ground to cover and non-planned objectives and there's a good variety of shoot em up focused ones and stealth missions. I'd like to see some city combat situations though instead of the almost total mission time in the mountains/fields. Also I've been in mission and seen the time of day ambient light change which is a nice touch. At times the checkpoint autosaves can be a little too far apart if you do go down but it wasn't a big problem with my God mode trainer. You can also fail a mission by not doing certain things in an allotted time or being detected when stealth is a mission necessity. At times it does seem to be a long time just hiking to your next objective but it leaves vehicles and enemies at good points in between to break it up.
I found the weapons to be accurate graphically and in sound to real assault rifles as I've fired a few of the real things. Also the difficulty in hitting a target seems about right. If you've never fired a weapon at a target you can't possibly know how much skill is involved, it's hard to hit a target at 8 feet with a 9 mm handgun due to many factors and this is also true of any other firearm. So that's not a legitimate gripe.
Overall graphically this is pretty good for the huge environments, It seems to make a nice tradeoff in that respect. Every little thing in the game is not top quality detailed like buildings or vehicles but that's not the real fun of the game anyways. The characters and weapons are nicely done and that's what you see most of the time anyways. I'm not sure how much of a system hog this is as I have a quad core 6600 and an 8800GT and 3GB RAM so most games don't touch my system but it doesn't seem to be unreasonable. It auto detected my system about where it should be at 1680x1050 and it ran smooth at all times. The sound was great, very nice buzzing bullets and helos as well as ambient outdoors sounds.
One thing I'd like is to choose my own loadout, it's pretty ridiculous going to take out an AAA site and not even carrying a heavy weapon capable of taking out the armored AAA vehicles. You have to find one of the crates that are around with different, usually enemy, weapons in them to get what you need at times. I think at least one of your squad should carry a bazooka of some sort at all times. And it would be nice to choose a silencer and a scope other than a red-dot, look at the guys in Iraq and you'll see that at least one of a squad has an ACOG 4x scope. Usually it's the commander, which you are in this game, that has that. So you are at the mercy of what is given to you as far as weapons unless you want to take the crappy but scoped Chinese stuff off of a casualty.
The story is explained in flash/graphics instead of cutscenes at the very beginning of the campaign missions and that's fine. I found the story to be a little unbelievable though as far as Americans fighting for Russia's interests, I don't think anyone in the USA would want Americans doing that. It's hard enough to take Americans dying for ungrateful and undeserving Iraqis, Serbians, Africans and others. Who cares, in terms of strategic US interests, about an island north of Japan anyways? The part where the Chinese invade Eastern Russia is totally believable though, as when you have 1.5 billion people you need a lot of resources and there's a lot of that in E. Russia. The overall story doesn't really intrude on the game though and that's a good thing, this is just a straight tactical military simulator and that's how you look at it, one objective to the next.
Overall I loved this game and will probably play it again, especially since you can choose individual missions once you've finished the campaign or just go get a full save game on the net. Obviously this is going to have add-on packs like OFP1 did so it is a game that will last a long time. I'm getting the OFP1 GOTY edition which has all the add on packs included after playing this one, it's great and recommended!Get more detail about

I know many people have said this already...but if you like the clevor lil tricks n mixups from the first DOS versions of this game...U R GONA LUV THIS!!!! My first 20 minutes impression of the game was kinda lame and the controls are a lil funky at times...but after bout n hour once i got into everything, it was definately like old times with better updated Graphics n Such!!! The puzzles are great, start off easy but get tantelizing and almost to the point to where you wanna quit!!! The humor is great, gets old from time to time once you get stuck, but still funny!!! Once you figure sum small lil thing out and the game goes on forward again, YOU HAVE SO MUCH FUN!!!! Can't wait for the next episodes to come out!!!
-----------------------------------------------------
As far as a load on the puter as other ppl mentioned, I run this game at 1600x1200 MAXED easily on my ASUS A8N32-SLI MotherBoard, but i am pretty much spec'd out for features it can handle at:
AMD Athlon 4600X2 - 2.4ghz x2 512kb CACHE (OC'd 2.6ghz)
4gb CORSAIR XMS DDR3200 (OC'd 432mhz)
2x SLi 9800GT BFG OCX 512mb (OC'd 680mhz Core/1674mhz Shader/2000mhz Mem vs 600mhz Core/1500mhz Shader/1800mhz Mem)
Windows XP Pro SP2 and Vista Ultimate DUALBOOT....runs sweet on either, no visible difference in quality between DX9 and DX10!!
...................
I even have it on my MSI 945GCM478-L MoBo, P4 3.2ghz/1mb CACHE Prescott 478, 4gb DDR2, 8800GT 1gb and it RUNS AWSUM!!!! :)

Both decent gaming rigs obviously...but definately not the newest stuff out thur!!!!Get more detail about
Tales of Monkey Island: Launch of the Screaming Narwhal - Chapter 1 [Game Download].Date Published: Oct 16, 2009 - 7:32 am

Big Kahuna Fish is a simple, but strangely addictive puzzle game. I wouldn't call it fun but it is fairly engaging. A minor complaint is that there is an ad for the sequel game after each fish is unlocked.
The main reason I'm writing this review is to confirm that the game is indeed FREE. Many people have complained about this download being a 30-minute trial upon installing. I encountered the same problem myself but I figured out that this is because when you start the game for the first time, it links up with the Amazon Downloader. If the Downloader is running, it checks your Amazon download history, sees that the game was "purchased" at $0.00 and activates the full game. If, on the other hand, you don't have Amazon Downloader active or if it's been uninstalled, the game will remain a trial and you'll be another person complaining about it on Amazon's website.
This is a roundabout way to offer a free game, but there are probably two reasons why it's like this:
1) Amazon is slowly taking over the world through their programs, and
2) The game was actually sold at a regular price in the past.
I couldn't find any information in the help section about the Downloader having to be active, so Amazon should be ashamed about that. But I imagine they use the same method for all of their free games so we might as well get used to it.
Hope this helps.Get more detail about

Love it (2009-06-09)
It's a great game, it has amazing detail and scenery, tons of different things to do, very customizable characters, i play this game every day and it never gets hold. its a great game if you have the money, as it is somewhat spendy, but well worth it in my opinion if you like rpg's you will fall in love with World of Warcraft. The Burning Crusade expansion adds tons of extras to the game as well. Definitely a great buy
Good fun but I've been playing other games too... (2009-06-09)
The only problem with the very fun 'WoW' is the magnificent addiction called ES IV:Oblivion, there could be only one I guess and I'm kinda stuck on Oblivion. Oh and there's my school work too but both games are entertaining; however, I was not prepared for the engaging nature of ES IV.
pagan and... (2009-06-02)
Not only is this "game" PAGAN (!!!) like all fantasies, but it is also SATANIC (BAPHOMET Belt Buckle Satan), and teaches children to disrespect and disregard JESUS and his MIRACLES. According to my stepdaughter, the game lets players use a MAGICK SPELL (!!) that lets them WALK ON WATER just like the LORD!!! This is the ultimate in blasphemy. How is a CHILD supposed to understand the PROFOUNDNESS of the LORD's MIRACLES if HE can just log onto the interwebs and do those same MIRACLES himself?!?! The game maker's anti-family LIBERAL bias is proved also, by the fact that now they have made my 16 years old stepdaughter rebelious and forced her to DISRESPECT me after I took this "game" away from her for it being ungodly. Children are not supposed to think for themselves. WHAT ABOUT JESUS?!?!? This is inducitive of all of LIBERAL culture, trying to make Children independent thinkers. AMERICA dosent need "critical" thinkers, because all they do is criticise GOD. I'll bet obama lets his children play this trash. The game makers blatent SATANISM is evident in the name of their company. Blizzard Entertainment? The Norsemen belived that HELL was cold. Need I say any more?
Great Value & an Excellent Game! (2009-05-25)
This game is great. However, this particular item will only allow you to level up to 70. You will need to get the new expansion: Wrath of The Lich King in order to get all the way to level 80 and to be able to unlock the Death Knight Class. Also, the game can be very complicated. Learning and reading guides for it will help allot and you will enjoy the game more with your success. [â¦]
Addictive (2009-05-24)
Totally addictive game. Great gift for someone you know who has A LOT of free time on their hands. Because having this game means you won't be seen socially for awhile.

Fallout series,
Fallout 3 is a singleplayer action role-playing game (RPG) set in a post-apocalyptic Washington DC. Combining the horrific insanity of the Cold War era theory of mutually assured destruction gone terribly wrong, with the kitschy naivety of American 1950s nuclear propaganda,

Fallout 3 (2009-06-25)
Overall enjoyable game. The game ran smoothly, no hang-ups or problems. Scenes could have been a little more colorful since it takes place long after the devastation (radiation levels were normal in most land masses).
I would recommend saving often as the end came as a surprise and I had failed to find some cities and side quests.
Total Fail - Crashes to Desktop when trying to start a new game (2009-06-24)
I own tons of newer games for the PC and I've never seen a game that refuses to work like Fallout 3. I can launch it, but when I try to start a new game, it crashes to desktop. I've tried every trick out there to get it to work on Vista, but I've had no luck at all. I'm going to try it on XP, but I don't have hope. I'm probably going to return it to Amazon.
Fun... at a price (2009-06-22)
Ok, so it's months after the release and there's several DLC packs out.
The good:
When it's working this game is damn near perfect, more fun and engaging than most RPG's around.
The bad:
When it crashes. Not if, WHEN. Sometimes you'll play along for several hours without a hitch, sometimes the game will crash to desktop 5 times in as many minutes. It's really pretty sad that bethsoft's rep for making good games is being shot all to hell by this. And the kicker? Since the latest patches + DLC update, you may not even be able to exit the game back to desktop with hard locking the computer. Seriously, it may be the game that I've played with the most random crash bugs *EVER*, and I've been PC gaming since the era of the 286. The worst thing about the crashes? They *ALWAYS* seem to happen right about the time you're thinking to yourself "gee, I better save before it crashes", then it goes belly up seconds before you actually save.
Do you get it?
Well, if you know and like the universe AND you can put up with saving after every single combat "just in case", then sure, do it. It really is a good game & story. However, if the thought of restarting the game 5 times in 5 minutes sends you into nerd rage, no, stay far FAR away.
Not a Fallout fan, but I love the twist on the genre, playing oblivion now. (2009-06-08)
I am not going to go into detail about the game, but I played it through once, and use the "save" and "load" game options to explore everything in the game that I could. I'm now about half way through the game again playing a bad guy. It is possible to have two NPC's tagging along with you on quests, which is a big plus.
I haven't done a video review of this game because I devote my youtube accounts to games I can play in Wine on Linux. This game can be played, but I have yet to compile the special version of wine needed to play this game, but I'm planning to. I had to do that to get COD4 working. But Oblivion on the other hand works without a hitch. If you check user "rofthorax" on youtube, and search for "oblivion" or "oblivion hdr wine" in youtube, you will probably find my in depth video review of the game for wine. I'm playing through oblivion on wine.. I'm a Orc knight named zug zug (inspired by warcraft 2) and I have boots that allow me to walk above water, which is a lot of fun, little things like that.
As the fallout guys say about this game, fallout 3, it is essentially oblivion with a new skin.. But before I played fallout 3, I didn't know fallout was a genre of games that predated fallout 3. In fact, I have a review where I thought oblivion came after fallout because it had that gear logo, which later I realized was borrowed from the fallout line. I'm so stupid, fallout 3 must have had a 2, right.. Well I only learned of this after seeing an old computer magazine I had laying around, and the advertisement of fallout.. I had played fallout 3 after playing Bioshock, which has fantastic "power ups", but coming to fallout it can look like a power drain, cause the power ups in fallout are so subtle. The fun in fallout 3 can come from things as simple as blowing up cars and busses, which adds a problem solving aspect to first person shooter part of the game.
Hint, there is an alien weapon that permits you to vaporize guys (there is no villains or good guys in this game, it completely depends on whether you chose to be good or bad). Bioshock only allows you to be good or bad, but Fallout 3 is not so black and white about it.. IF you choose to be bad, you can remain a bad guy and do bad guy things.. Whereas Bioshock, it would only affect how the little sisters see you and how the game ends. So Bioshock is nice graphically, but after fallout 3, I don't really know if I would like a followup to Bioshock now..
Also Fallout 3 will exhaust you.. It's tiring to maintain yourself, like to get meds, detox from addictions, use radiation maintenance drugs and monitor radiation levels. Bioshock never had this much stuff to mess with.. The graphics are not on par with Bioshock, but the worlds are bigger and there is a lot more to do.. If I had played oblivion before playing this, I'd say "oh it's oblivion".. But it's better play backwards, cause I can see more how they are different, probably better than how a fallout fan can see fallout 3 after playing everything that came before.
So bottom line, it's best to play this game if you have never played oblivion or the fallout series. And if you haven't played Bioshock, you should maybe consider puting it off.. Or play it and get it over with before playing fallout 3, because fallout 3 is a "hum-dinger".
Addicting (2009-05-31)
GREAT GRAPHICS. Good storyline. Love the Nuclear Hollocaust theme. V.A.T.S. mode is the coolest. Addicting game, Spent over a month on it doing different things and beating it different ways. Big waste of time. It was really fun for the 1st week or 2 but then it just got boring. Cool like Bioshock in a RPG way. I'm more of a multiplayer shooter person than a RGP type of game player FYI.

Customer Reviews
i understand why it feels "hollow" (2009-06-18)
while i was waiting for my SIMS 3 to arrive, i read some reviews that mentioned this game felt hollow and "soulless" and now i totally understand what they meant by that.
i've been playing for a week straight and even though the game has more things to do, i kinda miss SIMS 2. when the characters ate or danced in SIMS 2, it was done in an exaggerated way that was entertaining (slurping their bowls, or awkwardly bustin' out into breakdance). now in SIMS 3, they just do it for the sake of doing it and almost too realistically. this is why, for example, ppl have different opinions about being able to micromanage their sims while in a store (which you can't in SIMS 3). i'll bet they'll do nothing interesting in there anyway because these characters have no character. they may as well have made the whole user-experience into just clicking through a to-do list and not see the characters at all. because that's what it feels like i'm doing sometimes.
the thing is, this is SIMS! -- it's supposed to be an entertaining GAME, not another boring second-life simulation, which is what this is now turning into. i say that w/the utmost respect to what SIMS 3 now offers, i mean i'm a big SIMS fan in general. i just hate to admit it but yeah, i'm a little disappointed this time around :T
on a side note, i wish they had more hairstyles and the graphics did become a little "cartoony."
Disappointed!! (2009-06-17)
The Sims 3 Collector's Edition
I am really disappointed in this. The hype was awesome. It made it look like everything was going to be with it and make with it. NOT TRUE.
First off in the collectors edition. All you get that is special is the USB Keychain Mem stick. The Prima tips and hints PIECE OF PAPER BY THE WAY is just that. You get 4 very small pages of tips and hints woopie!! and you get 25% off the REAL Prima Official eGuide book. Probably cheaper to just buy it at your local store.
There is no college, etc. just a city and only one by the way that is provided complete (already built), they do offer another one when you register.
One good thing at least you can go one place to the other in town easily enough. But other than that this is going to be another rip off from EA. Buy this, buy that. They don't lie but they sure do hide the truth in their advertising.
If you want more facts read the other reviews, they have taken the time to really burn this thing. I know one thing I am going to wait for at least 4 months before I buy anymore software from EA especially when it comes to the new SIMS 3 game. To be fair to everyone they should cough up 3 add on packs FREE to everyone. Otherwise they are Dragging us in with the hype.
Mixed review on this game (2009-06-17)
If this is the first time playing Sims, then you may find it fun to play. But if you have play the previous Sims (The Sims and Sims 2), you are probably having mix feelings about this game as well. You should know I haven't play the previous Sims for a long time, so my memory is a bit foggy about them.
Anyway, I've been playing this game about 2-3 hours/day almost every day in the past couple weeks and here are some things I like about the Sims 3:
1) The ability to freely move your sim anywhere on the map. Your sim is no longer contained into one lot.
2) The ability to customize majority of your items (by meaning customize, I mean choosing your own colors).
3) Ability to place your stuff on an angle (I think you were able to pl
4) You can add your own mp3 to the custom music folder located in "My Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Custom Music" But to hear your mp3, you have to buy a radio.
5) Ability to become business partners of various businesses and if you like, own the business as well. Purpose of this: To earn more money and if you like, make your Sim quit his/her job. However, to collect the money made by the business, you have to click on the building to get it.
6) Jobs or careers you take are a little more complicated. It has it usual get to work and develop skills, but what else is added is options on what you want to do at work. You can work casual, work hard, socialize with co-workers, and some other options related to your job. From time to time, you will get pop ups about opportunities relating to your job to advance your Sim. By completing this opportunity, you will either earn more money per hour worked or gain new skills.
7) New skills to develop. I think they are gardening, fishing, and writing? By developing your skills, you can do more things with your new skills. For example, if you study mechanic long enough, you will eventually be able to upgrade things. You can make items unbreakable or make improvements to it.
8) You have the option to have life change around you. For example, your neighbors may move and new ones may move in. Friends will age and eventually die. I'm not quite sure if Sims start disappearing in your game because they are dead, will new ones take place for them or do you have to create new Sims to populate your town?
And here's what I don't like:
1) You can't make your own custom size lots. You have to use what is given to you. You can build stuff on existing lots, but you can't make new lots and place it somewhere on the map. If there is an option to do that, I must be blind or something because I can't find the button to make a new lot.
2) I preferred that the Sim get in the car and then backup rather than going to the street and pushing a button to have the car appear right in front of them.
3) I rather hire a gardener (which there is no service for) than having my Sim take care of the garden every day.
4) I rather have a nanny that watch the kids at a schedule time than calling a babysitter every day.
5) Guitar is nice to play, but I also want a piano!
6) I haven't been able to get my Sims to marry. Both my Sims are in love, but there's no option to get them married? They can make babies, but no option for wedding. They talk and kiss every day. One time, I had them chat and make out all day long. Still no option to get married! What does it take to make these 2 sims get married? Maybe they should of added a church in the game where sims can get married.
7) Is there an option to build your own town?
8) I don't like the fact if you play one household, it will affect all the other households. Life will progress for all the sims. If you choose to play another household and then go back, you may find that life has change. Of course, you have the option to disable story mode. For me, I left it on to see how this game will progress.
9) Not much items to choose from. They sure have lots of different kinds of bookshelves!
10) Some buildings you can't even explore in such as the Stadium, Hospital, Theater, Town Hall, Police Station, etc. I'm interested what it look like inside!
In summary, The Sims 3 has new features, but they also took out some old ones from previous Sims. Quite frankly, I'm already bored with this game after 2 weeks of playing. I think the Sims 2 was more fun to play with.
Disappointed (2009-06-16)
We all waited anxiously for THIS??
I'm not going to go in-depth because other reviewers have pretty much covered everything, but I will say this much, the only thing I like about my entire Sims 3 Collectors Edition order is the included snazzy key-fob flash drive.
The game itself is really boring compared to Sims 2. The graphics are dumbed down in order to accommodate older machines and/or balance out performance. Many of the sound effects (footfalls, etc) are missing, too, so it adds to the boringness of it. Daylight doesnt seem to last very long, it seems like my Sims are always in the dark. Their needs decrease more rapidly than ever so its eat, rest, pee, shower, go to work...thats about it. The old cheats 'maxmotives' and 'motivedecay off' dont work either. Every time I play it starts putting me to sleep, literally, after about 15-20 min or so. When the yawning starts I'm gone, exit, save, nap, then go back to playing Sims 2 instead of 3.
I don't like it. It's too much like the original Sims and less like Sims 2.
Sims 3 is very cool!!! (2009-06-15)
I haven't really played the sims since Sims 1 and I did get to the Makin' Magic expansion pack. I got a copy of Sims 3 and I love it. I can't stop playing. I have to fight my roommate off to get to play.
I love all the new things we can do like we have to fulfill the wishes and we get lifetime happiness points. I really want the teleportation pad. I love it and I think most who are playing it do too!
