If you are thinking of a Craigslist proxy, you can get one via two main methods. These being renting or setting up your own. When is it best to rent and when is it best to setup your own? If you are a heavy poster and user of Craigslist, you would probably be better off setting up your own proxy server. How much is a lot of ads? If you need to post anymore than 30 - 50 ads a day, would mean that I would consider setting up my own. Less than this and you should be ok with renting IPs from someone else. Renting IPs from other people is fine, but usually they come at a much higher price compared to setting up your own. If you need to post a lot of ads on Craigslist, look at investing into your own Craigslist proxy instead of renting from someone else. You will save a bundle of money.

Are you putting ads on on Craigslist via a Craigslist Proxy? If yes, can Craigslist track what you are doing? The answer to this is in how anonymous your Craigslist Proxy is. If your proxy server is an elite or exclusive proxy that you configured yourself and are the only one who uses it, it should be safe to say that Craigslist is in the dark about your activities. However, if you are posting on Craigslist with a free or shared proxy server, then there is a good chance that everything you are doing is completely visible. Free or shared proxy servers typically perform poorly when compared with elite or exclusive proxy servers. This is because shared proxies usually can be detected as a proxy server by Craigslist. The other problem is that shared proxy servers might have many people doing the same thing with the allocated proxy IPs. Do you want to share a proxy server with 50 other people who are also posting on Craigslist? Obviously not. If you are using an elite Craigslist Proxy then you should be safe and anonymous on Craigslist.

Finding that you always get ads flagged on Craigslist? A lot of people seem to think that ads are flagged due to some IP or proxy reason.. Usually this isn't the problem.Ads on Craigslist are flagged by members of Craigslist and not actually any spam filters. Your ad is being flagged for one of several reasons:A. You’re posting what are obvious spam ads. In terms of content, posting frequency or posting locations.B. You have scum bag competitors that are selling / promoting the same thing you are. They will simply flag you off to remove the competition. There are actually groups of people who get together and do this. Most of the time the reason your ad was flagged was because one of the above happened. It usually is not due to your Craigslist proxy.

If you have your own Craigslist Proxy then something that is vital to know about is security. Having to constantly enter usernames and passwords when changing IPs can be tiring but should not be neglected. Since a proxy server is on the internet, it is possible that anyone could gain access to the server if they knew the IP. Even though there are millions of other IP addresses out on the internet this does not make it impossible to find your proxy server IP. In this day and age there are a multitude of tools that can make IP scanning a very simple process and allow someone to scan thousands and thousands of IPs in a very short time. Make sure that whenever you setup a proxy that you always make it password protected. Since the proxy server is yours, if a person uses it to commit a crime or fraud you will be the person held responsible. If you want to save time, instead of not using a password, there are many other applications and programs out there that will automaticallys handle username and passwords for logging into your proxy. Use these instead as they will achieve what you want (speeding up the login process) but also alow you to retain the high level of security that your Craigslist Proxy requires.

Ads aren't appearing on Craigslist? Unsure as to what is causing the problem? There are a number of reasons why you might be having problems getting ads to appear on Craigslist. With these tips you should be able to post more ads with less drama.First, don't use words that you think might not be suitable for the category. If posting to the for sale section, avoid posting unrelated ads such as work at home ads. Craigslist utilizes advanced word and phrase filters to stop people putting ads in inappropriate sections. Each section on Craigslist is different and most likely uses a different set of filters. Second, avoid using any special html codes outside of what Craigslist supports. Craigslist lists on their site which html codes they permit and using unsupported codes may mean your ads are blocked. Third, limit the number of posts you make per day per IP. Generally speaking only post 1 ad per IP per day. Doing anymore than this will work, but posting an excessive amount of ads increases the chances that you will be flagged. Finally, try to not use html imags. Some section do permit the use of html images but posting images still increases the chance your ad will be blocked. Other sections do not permit images at all and all ads with images are blocked.Putting ads up on Craigslist can be annoying, but by following the previously mentioned tips you should find more ads going live. You may also consider looking into a Craigslist proxy to improve the rate of your ads going live.

Web proxies are a commonly known and used proxy resource. Many people assume that they can use a webproxy as their Craigslist proxy. However, this couldn't be further from the truth. The main problem with webproxies is their lack of anonymity. If you want to be able to post advertisements on Craigslist with as little trouble as possible then this is something you need to pay attention to. Webproxies can be identified as webproxies by anyone who examines any IP coming from a webproxy. This being the case, Craigslist simply needs to first query an IP and check for any signs that it is a proxy and if this is the case all ads are blocked. Webproxies are easy to setup and usually free making people believe that they are a good and plentiful solution to post ads with on Craigslist. This obviously doesn't work and they quickly become frustrated. For those wanting to post ads to Craigslist you will need to dig into your pockets and invest in your very own Craigslist proxy.

The exact number of IPs you should get with your proxy is dependant on a few factors. The first is what kind of budget do you have to spend on your proxy server and secondly what quantity of ads are you looking to post daily. Not having enough IPs on your proxy obviously means you will be limited in the number of ads you can post. If you want to post a lot of ads buy as many IPs as your budget will allow you. Do you just need to post a couple of ads each day on Craigslist? Or do you need to get hundreds of ads up? For those who would be happy with just one or two ads, one IP on your proxy server would be more than enough. Anymore than this would be a waste of money and resources. However, if you are looking to post 100 ads or higher then you will need to invest in at least 5 to 10 IPs to start with. A general rule of thumb is that for every 10 ads you want to post, you will need 1 IP. So that should give you a quick rule to check to see if you have enough IPs on your Craigslist proxy to allow you to post enough ads on Craigslist.

For those who are going to setup their own Craigslist Proxy, making sure your IPs are from different C class IP ranges is something you should pay special attention to. It isn't a topic that is discussed often, but if you post any quantity of ads on Craigslist without using different C class IP ranges you are potentially making it very easy for Craigslist to track your activities.IPs are divided into different ranges, A B C and D. Ranges are used to keep track of and log the network and ID of the network. Every computer online has an IP which allows it to communicate with other computers online, essentially functioning as an online mailing address or phone number. Most people know that by going offline and then back online you are able to change your IP, but usually the new IP you are assigned is within the same range. This makes it possible for networks to identify or make connections between user activity to identify what your new IP is as even though you did change your IP, it has not changed significantly so they are unable to find any similarities or patterns in user activities. This could also very well be used by Craigslist in their attempts to log use of Craigslist by people posting ads. Using different C class IP ranges on your proxy server would definitely make it much harder or almost impossible for Craigslist to do this.As already stated above, using IPs in the same C class IP range may make it possible for Craigslist to detect your activity even though you could be using several different accounts (since your new IP isn't varied enough from the old one to make you look like a completely different user). This very same concept of using different C class IP ranges applies to proxy servers and is something you should pay great attention to. Typically, IPs on proxy server are within the same range, try to make sure this is not the case for your proxy server. Anonymity is very important for anyone posting on Craigslist, be sure to ask about getting IPs on your Craigslist Proxy from different ranges.

Do you have difficulty when posting ads on Craigslist? Usually there is one main reason for this and that is why you more than likely will need a Craigslist proxy to get your ads showing. Craigslist has a different website, one for each country. It is required that you must reside in the country you wish to post classified ads on, otherwise you will never see your ad. Craigslist utilizes this as a way to control spam. What could possibly be the reason people in other countries want to post ads on sites in countries outside of their own? The main reason stems from the amount of traffic some countries generate compared to others, such as China vs the USA. The work around for this problem is through the use of a proxy. Unfortunately, you will need to use a more secure and advanced proxy, so free proxies typically won't work. The reason why free proxies usually fail is because Craigslist knows about these kinds of proxies. All they need to do then is automatically remove any advertisements that come from these free proxies. Another reason why free proxies aren't recommended is because they typically are very slow. Since they are free many people are trying to use it all at the sametime. This results in what can sometimes be a painful internet experience due to how slow the proxy server is. Anyone who wishes to try and post classified ads on Craigslist consider getting a Craigslist proxy that you are the only one with access to.
