If you are thinking of a Craigslist proxy, you can
go about it two ways. Via renting or just by
setting it up yourself. When is it best to rent and
when is it best to setup your own? If you are
posting a lot of ads each day on Craigslist, you
should probably consider creating your own server.
Just how much is a lot? Posting anywhere above 30
ads a day, would mean that I would consider setting
up my own. Less than this and you should be ok with
renting IPs from someone else. Renting IPs from
other people is fine, but usually they come at a
much higher price compared to setting up your own.
If you need to post a lot of ads on Craigslist,
look at investing into your own Craigslist proxy
instead of renting from someone else. You can save
heaps over time.

Are you putting ads on on Craigslist via a
Craigslist Proxy? If so, does Craigslist know just
what you are up to? This depends entirely on how
anonymous your Craigslist Proxy is. If you are
using an exclusive or proxy server for Craigslist
that you setup yourself and are the only one with
access, most likely what you are doing is
completely safe from the prying eyes of Craigslist.
However, if you are posting on Craigslist with a
free or shared proxy server, then there is a good
chance that everything you are doing is completely
visible. Shared & free proxies typically offer less
security and are not anonymous, something which is
vital to successfully post ads on Craigslist. The
main reason is due to their how anonymous they are
and that elite proxy servers typically can not be
detetected as a proxy server. Furthermore, you may
be using a server that has several people on it who
also post on Craigslist.. Do you want to share a
proxy server with 50 other people who are also
posting on Craigslist? Obviously not. If you are
using an elite Craigslist Proxy then you should be
safe and anonymous on Craigslist.

Finding that you always get ads flagged on
Craigslist? A lot of people seem to think that
ads are flagged due to some IP or proxy reason..
Usually this isn't the problem.
Craigslist users flag ads, not Craigslist itself. You will find that your ads are usually flagged for these reasons:
A. What you are posting on Craigslist is spam or perceived as spam. In terms of content, posting frequency or posting locations.
B. Someone else who is in the same market as you has decided to flag your ads so they can sell more. You will find that they are just delibrately flagging your ads wherever possible. You will find that such groups of this kind exist with the sole purpose of flagging people off Craigslist.
The main cause of your ad getting flagged is usually one of the above. It usually is not due to your Craigslist proxy.

Thinking about setting up a Craigslist
Proxy and curious about why or if a
password is really needed to access it?. Having to
constantly enter usernames and passwords when
changing IPs can be tiring but should not be
neglected. Proxy servers are machines out in the
open on the internet and therefore can
potentially be accessed by anyone. Even though
there are millions of other IP addresses out on
the internet this does not make it impossible to
find your proxy server IP. In this day and age
there are a multitude of tools that can make IP
scanning a very simple process and allow someone to
scan thousands and thousands of IPs in a very
short time. Make sure that whenever you setup a
proxy that you always make it password protected.
If someone else gains access to your proxy server
then you can be held liable for any damages that
they do through the use of it. Instead of not
using a password, look to use software the can
save usernames and passwords for the IP ports on
your proxy to save time. Use these instead as
they will achieve what you want (speeding up the
login process) but also alow you to retain the
high level of security that your Craigslist
Proxy requires.

Ads won't show up on Craigslist? Can't figure it
out? This could be due to a number of reasons why
you might be having problems getting ads to appear
on Craigslist. These tips should help you to get
your ads to stick.
First, don't use words that you think might not be suitable for the category. If you are posting in the for sale section, avoid posting unrelated ads such as work at home ads. Craigslist has several spam filters in place that constantly monitor for any unrelated or irrelevant keywords. Each section on Craigslist is different and most likely uses a different set of filters. Second, don't use html codes outside of what Craigslist supports. Craigslist lists on their site which html codes they permit and using unsupported codes may mean your ads are blocked. Third, try to limit how many ads you post each day. If possible try and post 1 ad from 1 IP each day and no more. Posting more than this this will work, but posting an excessive amount of ads increases the chances that you will be flagged. Finally, don't post ads with external html images. There are sections which allow you to link to external images but doing so does increase the chance of your ad being blocked. Other sections do not permit images at all and all ads with images are blocked.
Getting up ads on Craigslist can cause a lot of stress, but by following the above tips you should reduce the amount of trouble. You may also consider looking into a Craigslist proxy to improve the rate of your ads going live.

Web proxies are a commonly known and used proxy
resource. There is a common belief held by many
that a webproxy is suitable to be used as a
Craigslist proxy. However, this couldn't be
further from the truth. One of the biggest
problems with web proxies is that they are not
anonymous. If you want to be able to post
advertisements on Craigslist with as little trouble
as possible then this is something you need to
pay attention to. As mentioned, webproxies are not
anonymous and they do not hide the fact that they
are a proxy. This being the case, Craigslist
simply needs to first query an IP and check for any
signs that it is a proxy and if this is the case
all ads are blocked. Webproxies are easy to setup
and usually free making people believe that they
are a good and plentiful solution to post ads
with on Craigslist. This obviously doesn't work
and they quickly become frustrated. If you are
looking to post ads on Craigslist then you will
have to fork out a few dollars and setup your own
Craigslist
proxy to be able to post ads successfully.

How many IPs you get on your proxy server depends
on a few things. First, how much money do you
have and secondly how many ads do you want to post.
Not having enough IPs on your proxy obviously
means you will be limited in the number of ads
you can post. So if you are looking to posts heaps
of ads make sure that you get as many IPs as you
can afford. Would a few ads each day be all you
need to put on Craigslist? Or are you looking to
post hundreds of ads everyday? For those who
would be happy with just one or two ads, one IP on
your proxy server would be more than enough.
Anymore than this would be a waste of money and
resources. However, if you need more than one
hundred ads per day you should look at getting
anywhere from 5 to 10 IPs to begin. Generally
speaking, for every IP that you have on your
proxy server you can post approximately 10 ads.
This will allow you to easily and quickly evaluate
if you have enough or not enough IPs on your Craigslist
proxy to fullfil your posting needs.

Do you own or will you be setting up a
Craigslist Proxy soon? If so make
sure you get IPs from as many different C class
IP ranges as possible. C class IP ranges aren't
talked about much, but if you post any quantity of
ads on Craigslist without using different C class
IP ranges you are potentially making it very easy
for Craigslist to track your activities.
IPs are divided into different ranges, A B C and D. Ranges are used to keep track of and log the network and ID of the network. Everyone on the internet is assigned an IP which is used to identify them while they are online. The most common method used to change your IP is by reconnecting to the internet, but most of the time the new IP your ISP gives you is still within the same range. This makes it easy for companies to log your activities, as even though you have changed your IP, it has not been changed to the extent that they are unable to make any connection between your old and new IP. It is more than possible that this is exactly what Craigslist uses as part of their system to filter out spam. Using different C class IP ranges on your proxy server would definitely make it much harder or almost impossible for Craigslist to do this.
As mentioned above, using IPs in the same C class IP range may make it possible for Craigslist to detect your activity even though you could be using several different accounts (as your new IP is similar to the last and may make it possible for your activity to be flagged or detected). This also applies to proxy servers and is why you should consider getting IPs from as many different C class IP ranges as possible. Generally speaking, most IPs on proxy servers are all from the same C class IP range, this is something you should try to avoid. Anonymity is very important for anyone posting on Craigslist, so be sure to get a Craigslist Proxy with IPs in different C class IP ranges.

The exact number of IPs you should get with your
proxy is dependant on a few factors. The first is
what kind of budget do you have to spend on your
proxy server and secondly what quantity of ads
are you looking to post daily. Not having enough
IPs on your proxy obviously means you will be
limited in the number of ads you can post. If you
want to post a lot of ads buy as many IPs as your
budget will allow you. Are you just going to post
one or two ads on Craigslist a day? Or are you
looking to post hundreds of ads everyday? Anyone
who wants to be a casual poster and post only a few
ads shouldn't need more than 1 IP on their proxy
server. Anymore than this would be a waste of money
and resources. However, if you need more than one
hundred ads per day you should look at getting
anywhere from 5 to 10 IPs to begin. Generally

proxy server you can post approximately 10 ads.
So that should give you a quick rule to check to
see if you have enough IPs on your Craigslist
proxy to allow you to post enough ads on
Craigslist.
