Public Records Now - Public Records?Today someone wrongly informed the police that I was going to commit suicide. Strange yes and also very very embarassing. Unfortunately w/o warning two police officers came to my house to check everything out. They realized I was fine and then left. I know that every time something like this happens there is a report filed no matter what. Unfortunetly I am very recognizable in my community and I am told this record will become availible to the public for a fee on monday. I am extrememly humilitated to find that someone is planning on purchasing this police report first thing on monday. I am very upset since this incident was all cleared up otherwise. Is there any legal way I can make this information confidential to protect my reputation? I am sick to think someone would do this to me in the first place and knowing people can purchase this even for there own viewing is really troubling me. Please help if you have an answer. I Went Bankrupt 2 Years Ago. Now Get Turned Down Because Of 'public Records.' Why?I'm reposting a question, to better explain it. I went bankrupt in 1/2005, about two and a half years ago. Since then I've actually obtained 5 credit cards, somehow. An Amex Gold Charge, Capital One platinum, Discover, Washington Mutual Platinum, and a platinum card from Household Bank. These aren't bad cards, but it's amazing I got approved of anything. Yet, store cards like Bloomingdales or Macys turn me down. Yet these cards didnt. I don't get it. I obtained credit report and my score greatly increased since I've been using my new credit and paying it all off. It's weird. Right Now my three different numbers are about 650 680 and somehow, 760. Have no idea WHY that one is so high. Weird. Anyways, I'm turned down alot becuase of too many Public records. Is this referring to the bankrupcy? I have no other bills due or taxes, NOTHING. I'm clean. And my current credit usage is great, actually perfect. Only problem is Bankrpucy chapter 7. When will this lessen its impact? Does its severity lessen year by year by year, or will things pretty much generally be the same until if falls off 8 years from Now and then magically, my score will increase? When should I be likely to get approved of better credit cards, car loans, mortgages, and other things? In the next few years, AFTER the bankrupcy falls off record, or never? LOL. This is driving me nuts, and I'm just not sure how long I have to feel (Scr*wed). Can Someone With A Conviction Of A Crime Involving Tampering With Public Records Become An EMT-B Or CNA ?I have a friend that was convicted a few years ago in NJ for tampering with Public Records which was a crime in the third degree. They were sentenced to three years probation but was let go after only one year. They want to become an EMT-Basic and also take a CNA (Certified Nursing Assitant) class. The state she is applying to get certified is different from hwere the conviction took place. She is applying for CNA in Florida and will be taking a class in Indiana for the EMT then transfer it to Florida. Now I know there is a waiver avilable if they can deem it will not endanger the general Public or welfare. Can my friend get a certification with these convictions?
