Mystery Shopper?I got a letter in the mail to do Mystery shopping to look for customer service. The letter is from toronto, canada but the check that i got from them is from the usa. I got an aceptance Application along with it. I called the company and all they asked me to do was fax over the acceptance aplication to them and deposit the check into any account and once the check clears for me to call them back with further instructions. I am suppose to use the check to buy goods with it. (I put the check in a different bank with only the check amount they gave me in case its a scam) Is this a scam maybe? How does it work ? When i get paid weekly will i acutally use that money to buy the goods and keep the goods? [ Read More ]

Mystery Shopper Scam?out of the blue, i got this email: Hello , Zentral Evaluators Ltd. © is a company that conducts surveys and stealth evaluation of companies and organizations. Our Mystery shoppers pose as normal customers to perform specific tasks such as purchasing a product, asking questions, registering complaints or behaving in a certain way and then providing detailed reports or feedback about their experiences. Unlike the methodologies used in mainstream market research Mystery shopping attempts to gauge the service delivery process instead of the service result. You are to visit businesses to evaluate. These evaluations are done anonymously, with you posing as a regular customer. After which you are required to complete a detailed critique, including a detailed written summary/story line of the visit, customer services and product, salesmanship, hospitality. Etc Examples of details you would forward to us are: 1) How long it took you to get services. 2) Smartness of the attendant 3) Customer service professionalism 4) Sometimes you might be required to ruffle the attendant a bit, to see how they react to clients when under pressure. And we turn the information over to the company executives and they would carry out their own duties in improving there services. After which we customize your evaluation criteria to meet the goals and expectations this companies have established for their customers. We then communicate your results back to the companies in an accurate, comprehensive and timely manner. Most companies employ our assistance when people give complains about their services, or when they feel there are needs for them to improve their customer service. Your Identity would be kept confidential as the job states (secrets shopper) you would be paid $350 for every duty you carry out, and bonus on your transportation allowance, and funds would be given to you if you have to dine as part of the duty. Your job will be to evaluate and comment on customer service in a wide variety of shops, stores, restaurant and services in your area. The Western union location was reported for evaluation for the following reasons. Meeting Targets - Job Application?I am in the process of an ongoing Application for a job, where I would be required to meet some achievable sales targets. I have never had to actually meet sales targets before, but during the interview they may ask me to describe a time where I've had to work towards certain targets. I have two situations that I can think of, but only want to use one - which one do you think would be best? * academic targets - on my Application to get into my university course, the offer they gave me was conditional, in that I must achieve certain grades on particular exams, before they would allow me definate entry to the course. As it was a course I really wanted to do, I worked hard in class, and spent lots of time revising, in order to achieve those grades. In the end, I gained good marks in all of my subjects, allowing me entry to that course, and therefore I was happy as that was what I really wanted to do. * work - overall sales targets/mystery shopper. tbc Although we are not set individual sales targets, the store has a target that we must obtain. Every staff member can play a part in that as if the shop is kept tidy/organised, and features/displays kept up to date with the latest stock, it will encourage customers into the store, and encourages sales. The Mystery Shopper programme, is such that we are given marks out of 100% for the overall shopping experience - i.e. look of the store/tidiness/ customer service etc. I am in charge of customer service, and therefore it is my responsibity to carry out observations on staff make sure that everyone is getting good service. Our last few Mystery shops have been in the high 80's/90%age rate, even reaching 100% on one occasion. Usually, the customer is let down with stock lying on the floor/in the wrong place, so I think this reflects the input into customer service, and the fact that we are achieving such high results.
