Is There A Good Free Macintosh AntiVirus/AntiSpyware?I always
heard you didn't really need an antivirus/antispyware with a Mac,
but I just want to be on the safe side. I know there are tons of
good ones
For PC, but are there any ones that are
comparable to those
For MAC?

Can Anyone Help Me Find Reviews Or Comparison Of Antivirus /
Antispyware Software
For Mac OS
X?Can anyone help me find information on anti-malware packages
For the Macintosh OSX? I am looking
For an unbiased article, report or paper that
compares tools that will stop bad programs like viruses, spyware,
trojans, keyloggers, etc
For the Macintosh OS X.
It is very important that the review be impartial.
For example, any report published by a company
that makes anti-spyware / anti-virus software can't be considered
impartial. Please post a link to where I can read the full text of
the article to be eligible to receive 10 points. Well I was hoping
For a printed article, but a webcast by someone as
reliable as Chris Pirillo works. The webpage
For
this webcast can be found directly on Chris's website, along with
written text that include a few more details than what appears in
the video. (the text is not a word-for-word transcript -- I think
the text is a bit easier to understand.)

Why Do Most If Not All PC Technicians Discourage People From
Getting A Mac Computer?I've had my fair share of pc problems
including viruses, trojans, spyware, and adware despite having paid
For virus and
Antispyware
protection, so much that I replaced my last computer just 2 years
ago, and the replacement so far has cost me $300+ in repairs
cumulatively. So, I told the technician repairing my computer that
I'd get a Mac next time around despite the extra cost, and he tried
to convince me not to because he said the operating systerm is hard
to learn or something like that. He said that if you learned on a
pc, it's harder to switch over to a Mac and the repairs cost more
than
For a pc. He's just one of a few IT people
I've spoken to who downplay the Mac. Is it because he/they are
looking out
For his/their business? Or is there a
genuine reason
For not going
For
a Mac if you can afford it? I'm basically a novice computer user so
I don't know if there are some obvious reasons why a Mac wouldn't
be a good choice. Any ideas? Thanks. For the person who said I need
to learn how to use a pc, I had my virus protection professionally
installed, I run scans weekly, and I don't open e-mails from people
I don't know and I have no clue why I've gotten any viruses. I use
my computer
For buying mp3s,
For
checking e-mail, and
For researching reports in
the past, and I burn cds and I've made a few Muvee dvds of photos,
but that's it. So I guess I just think that it's a bit ridiculous
to have so many problems with pcs when I'm using them
For reasonable things. I know other people who
have had lots of problems with their pcs as well so I know I'm not
the only one, but before I make the leap and buy a Mac, I wanted to
see if there was a legitimate reason why they're not a good option.

Question
For Anyone Who's Good With Mac's, Has A
Mac, Or Is A Computer Specialist?I need some anti-adware
For my computer. Just a few minutes ago I was
startled by random commercials playing on my computer. I was
hearing sound from them, first it sounded like they were playing
all at once and then they started playing individually and I was
looking everywhere
For maybe what I thought were
popups. I searched and quit everything but I couldn't find
anything. When I searched about it in google I found a similar
question about the invisible commercials playing on they're
computer and I saw what seemed like a solution. I downloaded
Ad-aware, but then later found out it wasn't compatible with Mac's.
I honestly do not have money to go out and buy a anti-adware
For macs, or go into the apple store to get it
cleaned manually. I searched and searched on google but I got some
answers that said 'It's very rare that Mac's get viruses, so
there's no anti-spyware
For them.' But, I have
downloaded over 290 songs combined from Frostwire and Limewire. I'm
positive that that's the reason behind this. Basically, the point
is, I seriously need some free
Antispyware
For Macs. ANY tips and
suggestions are appreciated. Thank you very much.

What Do You Hate Most About Windows XP?Okay, let's hear it.
Personally I love Windows XP and I think it's the best operating
system on the planet next to OSX (I'm not about to pay $1700
For a less capable Mac when I could get a
perfectly good gaming PC). If I had to say one thing, it is keeping
on top of spyware and virus infections but between AVG and MS
Antispyware over the last six months my computer
has remained infection free. I also find those Balloon tips
annoying too. I actually meant to say Windows XP is second to OSX,
sorry if that came off as confusing. OSX is based on Unix, not
Linux and Linux comes in free or commercial versions.
