Iam Overdosed On Adhd Medication Vyvanse, Do I NEED To Go To The Hospital Or Am I Ok?im 15 and 115lbs. i take 30mg every morning. rough night last night, took 190mg of it around 9:30pm and another 30mg this afternoon. so around 220 is in my system but could be lower. i first felt shaky, then paranoid, when i opened my eyes i saw lights like strobe lights, felt like i was gonna puke everytime i got up from laying down. twitching. jittery. i noticed i started talking really realy fast. i would stumble over words and mix them together. i felt i had to do something over and over again. like play with my hair, id run my fingers through it like every 5 seconds. then i started hallucinating, i would see spiders and ants all over my shower when i was in it. id blink and it would be there. then another blink and its gone. the steam in the shower looked like shapes to me. then i found myself trying to like grab them. my heart beat has been irregular since. it went all the way up to 180beats per second. then lower than 60. i want to know if ill be ok because there hasnt been a change at all, i feel the same. i have oded on the same med before but around 130mg. i was fine, didnt go to the hospital.(moms a dr) if there could be something wrong with me that wont just go away then ill go. but if itll just go away within hours and i should just leave it alone. then i wont bother doing anything. thanks i would also love for people to not tell me im an idiot because ive heard that too much. i know iam. but i guess thats my problem i need to work on. also, it gets confusing whether or not iam ok because my friends are just like oh youll be fine blahblahblah. kinda a big deal tho to me. oh and yesterday i did drink.i took the medication a couple hours after i drank. i was a bit buzzed if i DID do the 'wait and see' thing. could anything get worse? do, not did.typo [ Read More ]

Vyvanse, Adhd Medication, Side Effects?Hi, I'm 17. My doctor just put me on Vyvanse, three days ago. I've never taken those kind of drugs before and I noticed some side effects. the first day I had dry mouth, irritability, a weird taste in my mouth and lack of appetite. those i could deal with. but yesterday my arm started hurting in a weird way on the inside... idk what it was, maybe it was from the medication, maybe it wasn't, either way it went away. and then today i took it and my lip became tingly and it tastes and feels weird.. i know i should be worried if it's swelling but it doesn't look bigger. It just feels so weird. is the tingling lip thing normal? O_o is it even a side effect? How do you tell if your lip is swelling? am I just not breathing enough? lmao. idk.This medication scares me and I'm probably just being paranoid. How Are Adhd Medications Supposed To Make You Feel?I am taking 40mg of Vyvanse. After I take it I feel very energetic, but not focused. I was taking Metadate and that just made me extremely manic and anxious. I started with the Vyvanse, my Dr. said it wouldn't 'hit' me as hard. ADD/ADHD Medications (Dexedrine Adderall)?I have been on alot of Medications for ADD (I don't have ADHD). I was diagnosed about 4 years ago. So, was on methylphenidate (Ritalin) tablets (90mg a day) for about 1.5 years, then i switched to Concerta for a month or two, then Vyvanse for a month or two, then he put be on 30 mg (15mg 2X a day) Dexedrine (generic) and its been about 7 mos since then. It's been okay but the 30 mg isn't enough anymore. I *know* stimulant Medications lose their power over time, but the truth is this one didn't really have it from the beginning, I just didn't want to bother my doc with switching meds again. I was wondering if anyone knew if Dexedrine spansules (time release) could be prescribed in a higher dose than 30mg a day? Or if Adderall would be better and what mg is equiv. to 30mg Dexedrine? Do You Find Vyvanse To Be Effective On Its Own Or When Used To Enhance Current Meds?I've been taking 108 mg. of Concerta every day for severe Adhd and I built up a tolerance to it. My doctor didn't want to up the Concerta so he prescribed 60 mg. of Vyvanse to supplement it. The Vyvanse really worked wonders with the Concerta but it's getting expensive to get all these Medications all the time (I'm also on Ativan, Abilify, and Lexapro). Do you find that Vyvanse works well enough on its own? Has anyone ever taken it to supplement another Adhd medication? I know Vyvanse is for kids mainly and I'm 24 so I don't know if it's the best thing for me to be on...anyone have success with another stimulant medication (I say stimulant because I've been on things like Strattera and it did nothing for me)?
