Anteroseptal MI. 4. Moderate to severe LV dysfunction. 5. Concentric left ventricular hypertrophy. The doctors have told that the pumping function of Heart is not appropriate and are handling with Lasix, aspirin, etc.. conservatively, but father gets short of breath frequently and has got 2nd and third attacks within the last 10 days. His major problem now is unstable breathing. Kindly give me the options of Treatment for this. In what way will an angiogram help for moving further. Is there anyway to improve his pumping function (surgery etc..)? Is there any options to improve in alternate medical therapy, magnetic therapy etc..? [ Read More ]

How Does My Paragraph Sound (research Paper)and Thesis?Treatment for Heart Disease Heart Disease is a general term that refers to any Disease or condition of the heart. The Heart is a vital organ that pumps blood to the arteries and creates pressure in them. Today Coronary Heart Disease accounts for about 45 percent of all deaths (Dr. Judson Colley). It is frightening to realize that a large percentage of the cause of deaths in society is attributed to Heart disease. The lack of awareness and emphasis further contribute to this percentage. Although a lot of people have some knowledge or awareness of Heart Disease and its risk factors, many people, sadly, do not know the basics of prevention and care of Heart Disease or are not motivated to take preventative measures. Treatment Protocol At ER For Angina Due To Coronary Disease. 5 Questions? For a fictional case. I have researched the Heart Assoc site and others, some things are unclear. A male in early 60s presents with chest pains, w/history of cholestorol and blood pressure. 1. What tests would be done? 2. If the diagnosis is Angina, what type of treatment/meds would he get? 3. Would he be kept in the hospital or released same day? 3a. If yes, then how long a stay and is it standard for such an Angina patient with Coronary blockage to be in ICU? 4. If stent implantation w/ angioplasty is recommended, would it be done immediately as an emergency procedure, or would it be done after several days past intitial ER visit, or would patient be released and told to undergo the implantation as an outpatient procedure? I'm trying to be as accurate with regards to Treatment protocols, and how many days testing and Treatment would cover. I've read there is a move to get the patient to the Cath lab within 90 minutes instead of waiting for the cardiologist to ok it. Thanks you! [ Read More ]

Are You Aware Of The National Diet Heart Study And The Minnesota Coronary Survey Two Of 18 Clinical Trials ALLAre you aware of The National Diet Heart Study and The Minnesota Coronary Survey 2 of 18 clinical trials to date ALL of which show NO SUPPORT AT ALL to the Cholesterol Hypothesis of Coronary artery disease. These 2 trials were ALSO DOUBLE BLINDED the ultimate standard in science. There was NO DIFFERENCE in CHD incidence, CHD deaths , or total mortality DESPITE cholesterol levels of 175mg/dl in the Treatment group and 203 mg/dl in the control group in the Minnesota Coronary Survey. In The National Diet Heart Study there was no detectable impact whatsoever between upon the incidence amoung the 2,032 participants fater the POOR results of the diet Heart trial the proposed mega trial was quietly abandoned to due 'reasons of cost' ARE YOU AWARE. National Diet Heart Study . Final report. Circulation, 1968; 37: 1-428 Frantz Jr ID et al. Test of effect of lipid lowering by diet on cardiovascular risk. Which Is Safer?? Coronary Angiogram Or 64 CT Scan?Hi, doctors. My mom has rheumatic Heart Disease and needs to have two of her valves replaced(mitral+aortic). But her surgeon requires her to do either a Coronary angiogram or a 64 ct scan to get a rough idea of her vascular condition. Apart from her valve problem, my mom is very health. She has very healthy eating and living habits, loves outdoors, does a lot of physical excercise and housework everyday...and has few white hair(she's already 61 yrs old), my grandparents are in their 80s and they don't have Coronary Heart Disease either. ....All these suggest my mom has a much lower risk of developing CHD. So we want to take the option with lowest risk. I heard that the contrast agent can cause renal failure. And both Treatment need contrast agents. So I'm wondering which one does less harm to patients?? Coronary Angiogram or 64 CT scan?? Thanks. [ Read More ]
