He is behind in academics and it's starting to Effects other areas of life. We have been against the Drugs but now starting to wonder if we are hindering him since he has such a hard time. Vyvanse, Adhd Medication, Side Effects?Hi, I'm 17. My doctor just put me on Vyvanse, three days ago. I've never taken those kind of Drugs before and I noticed some Side effects. the first day I had dry mouth, irritability, a weird taste in my mouth and lack of appetite. those i could deal with. but yesterday my arm started hurting in a weird way on the inside... idk what it was, maybe it was from the medication, maybe it wasn't, either way it went away. and then today i took it and my lip became tingly and it tastes and feels weird.. i know i should be worried if it's swelling but it doesn't look bigger. It just feels so weird. is the tingling lip thing normal? O_o is it even a Side effect? How do you tell if your lip is swelling? am I just not breathing enough? lmao. idk.This medication scares me and I'm probably just being paranoid. Anyone Experiencing These Side Effects With This Experimental Adhd Medication?The protocol number is 3100107ATT2001. It is a medication or drug clinical trial by Johnson and Johnson to test JNJ - 31001074 a potential medication for Attention Deficit Disorder (ADHD). The medication is either Concerta, Strattera, placebo or the test medication. I wonder if the test medication is a steroid or H4 antagonist. It is causing chest pain, weird muscle tightness and tremors and weird thoughts For example, I looked at a tree, knew it was a tree, but felt fear like it was something other than a tree. My jaw muscles gets tight, so do my other muscles. Sometimes when I am trying to use my muscles, they tremble. It is as if they are trying to contract, but cannot. Anyone else who is on this trial experiencing any of this? Also, it does zilch for my ADHD. The Side Effects is all I notice. It is a very uncomfortable almost painful feeling too. ADHD And Aterol (sp?)? Are There Long Term Side Effects I Should Worry About?I have been diagnosed with Adhd by several doctors in the past, stating that I have moderate to severe ADHD. I have always done well in school, through the 'brute force' study method and a good work ethic. However, I have always felt very spacy and can usually not remember the last movie I saw, what I had for breakfast, what I did yesterday...normal recent things that most people seem to retain. I recently got put on Aterol (10mg 2-3 X/day). Holy Shittles!!! What a CRAZY difference. I can now blow through 40 pages of a test book, fall asleep, and retain much of what I read the night before. I can actually listen in class instead of just sit and stare at the girl's breasts next to me. I can now study for and hour or two without getting distracted every 15 minutes. It seems like a miracle drug. The only Side Effects are: sweating, dry mouth, some shakes, slight anxiety, and sometimes it's hard to sleep. Are there any long term Side Effects I should be aware of? Concerned With My Child Possibly Being Adhd And The MEDICATION Side Effects?My 7 year old son is out of control hyper. It has got to the point where I am becoming depressed because if feels like im taking care of 3 kids instead of just one. I have avoided putting my son on any Drugs because of the horrible Side Effects and damage that it can do. I was told by a mother that her son was on something and his heart would beat so fast and hard that the child almost passed out! I DO NOT want my son on anything like that at all. I dont trust it. Need Help With Side Effects Of Dexedrine...issues With Insomnia And No Appetite?I am taking dexedrine 3x5mg a day and having the classic insomnia and no appetite Side effect. ADHD, The Effects Of Taking A Certain Adhd Drug, Oher Forms Of ADHD? Sorry So Long. Ty For Answering.?Often people speak of taking more then the required amount to get high when even they, have ADHD. I, for one, do have adhd, and take two, 20 miligrams of Adderal XR, a day, because of the ammount of energy I have. (I do believe you call is XR, excuse me if I am wrong) My parents lock up my medications, to keep me from getting into them, and attempting tricks like this one stated above. I admid, I have once tried this long ago when my mother forgot to lock the safe. The only Side effect, was I only got really ornery, and sleepy, and wanted to be left alone. (I was at school, avoiding everyone.) I did take other medication at the same time though, but I have not cared to experiment with this again (I enjoy instead, living each day being able to take my medications for the reasons I am supossed to). So I have assumed since then, that It is not possible for somebody with Adhd to get high off of adderal.So because of this, I assume if somebody who does not have ADHD, uses adderal for reasons to get high, basically take on the Effects of someone with ADHD. I have only heard they get happy, awake shaky. Though, I have no Idea if they do get the same feelings of Adhd or more, since I have had Adhd all my life, I assume, that if I never had adhd, and was suddenly given it, the Effects I would have were outrageous, and hard to cntrol, since I am not use to it. Then again though, I could be assuming this, because the words described of the high do not have a name, and only define what Adhd is to me. So Concluding this, I have come up with some questions. Is it possible for somebody with severe Adhd to actually get high off adderal? I hear the only Effects basically have basically, what someone with Adhd has already. Although, I have friends who speak of their experiences of actually being 'high' on adderal, who show symptoms the average person with Adhd would have. So this causes me to form another question in my head. There must be other forms of adhd, correct? And with all these other forms, there must be other medications to treate this specefic form of adhd, and without being able to know what Adhd this person may heave, they must find our by experimenting with different forms of medication of this particular person. I just don't understand, why I never had the chance to experience this 'feel good' in adderal. Did I just not have enough? Or does this type of Adhd that i a quire, take a mirrored effect when taking this specific adderal? I know this question sounds as if I am asking something that would not be appropriate, but it is actually to answer these questions that I constantly am thinking about, and without the answer I am only assuming what I don't know. My 8 Yr Old Son Started On A New Medication Called Remeron, Does Anyone Know The Side Effects Of This Drug?He has Adhd so he also started on Concerta 18mg. in which I am familiar with. But Remeron is a drug I do not know anything about except it is an anti-depressant. The doctor wants him on Concerta in the morning and the Remeron at 7:00 at night.
