Container Rio Red Grapefruit Tree With Citrus Mealy Bugs...need Help!?This a a very young tree, maybe 2 years old/4 ft tall, I have only had it for one year. It is budded off orange rootstock. I live in zone 4a/4b. This tree so far has a healthy canopy,but definitely is infested with the mealy bug of the citrus variety. They are randomly on the leaves, but mostly clustered around the base of the growing fruit. I have read online different ways people got rid of and then prevented this infestation, but everyone seems To have a different opinion. This tree does have about 6 Grapefruit growing on it...I am sure they will probably will be useless for eating, but I am having so much fun watching them Grow that I can't bear To prune them yet. If I do treat with insecticide, will it be safe To eat the fruit later (or attempt To eat it, lol!) Also, any ideas for preventing fruit sunburn as this is such a young tree? The Prestige Vs. The Illusionist?These are both movies about magicians that came out a year or two ago. Anyway, which of these do you prefer? As for me, I hate The Illusionist with all my guts. I have a few reasons: A) Scarlett Johansson (The Prestige) is many times more attractive than Jessica Biel (The illusionist) B) The story was the biggest crock of sh*t ever, the whole 'mystery' was clumsy, and the solution was stupid and obvious. The biggest stereotypes ever were evident in characters such as Biel's husband, (the prince that proposes To the attractive girl and turns out To be abusive and murderous) and Birl herself (the childhood sweetheart who leaves Norton at the start of the film but is reunited). It is so lame that I cringed the whole way through. C) Ed Norton bored me To death. D) I hated the way the film mocked the viewer's intelligence by 'explaining' the way he did the trick. If you don't remember, towards the end, somebody is telling Norton that his grapefruit-tree growing trick was pure magic and that it was impossible for a plant To Grow from a seed before one's eyes, but then Norton displayed a book titled 'Grapefruit-tree trick' and he flipped open To a random page where there was a diagram of a few mechanics and rabbling scribbles. What does this prove? Nothing. All it shows is that he owns a notebook that has a few stupid diagrams in it, he doesn't actually explain How it works. It angers me sooo much. E) Norton's tricks are all magic. None of them are explained, whereas in The Prestige, all the tricks are explained until they cannot explain a certain trick which means they spend the rest of the movie figuring out How To do the trick. The Illusionist? Well, the crowds take his magic tricks as pure magician skill. He has a massive fan base that sit outside his bedroom window all night. If this was set in the real world, the man would have been considered a witch, a sorcerer, and those people outside his window would want him burnt at the stake, not idolised. Grapefruit Sprout- How To Keep It Growing In A Low Light Dorm Room?Last spring I stuck a Grapefruit seed in some dirt. Eventually I say a little sprout and stuck it in a pot.
