If you are thinking of a Craigslist proxy, you can go about it two
ways. These being renting or setting up your own. So when should
you rent and when should you setup one? If you find yourself
needing a lot of IPs to post a lot of ads on Craigslist each day,
looking at setting up your own proxy server would be a good idea.
Just how much is a lot? If you need to post anymore than 30 - 50
ads a day, would mean that I would consider setting up my own. Less
than this and you should be ok with renting IPs from someone else.
Renting IPs from other people is fine, but usually they come at a
much higher price compared to setting up your own. If you need to
post a lot of ads on Craigslist, look at investing into your own
Craigslist proxy instead of renting from someone else. You will
save a bundle of money.

Are you putting ads on on Craigslist via a Craigslist Proxy? If so,
does Craigslist know just what you are up to? The answer to this is
in how anonymous your Craigslist Proxy is. If you are using an
exclusive or proxy server for Craigslist that you setup yourself
and are the only one with access, it should be safe to say that
Craigslist is in the dark about your activities. However, if you
use a free proxy or some common use proxy shared by many people,
you aren't as lucky. Shared & free proxies typically offer less
security and are not anonymous, something which is vital to
successfully post ads on Craigslist. This is because shared proxies
usually can be detected as a proxy server by Craigslist. The other
problem is that shared proxy servers might have many people doing
the same thing with the allocated proxy IPs. Do you want to share a
proxy server with 50 other people who are also posting on
Craigslist? Obviously not. If you are using an elite Craigslist
Proxy then ...

Never seem to be able to post an ad on Craigslist without it being
flagged? The first misconception that I often see it people
mistakenly believing that their ads being flagged has something to
do with their IP address or their CL account. This is not the
case.
Craigslist users flag ads, not Craigslist itself. You will find
that your ads are usually flagged for these reasons:
A. What you are posting on Craigslist is spam or perceived as spam.
In terms of content, posting frequency or posting locations.
B. A competitor has spotted your ads and has decided to flag you
down to stop you selling and make it easier for them. They will
simply flag you off to remove the competition. There are literally
teams of people that roll 20 deep and just flag stuff for each
other.
The main cause of your ad getting flagged is usually one of the
above. It usually is not due to your
Craigslist proxy.

Got a
Craigslist Proxy and wondering if a username and
password is really necessary?. Having to constantly enter usernames
and passwords when changing IPs can be tiring but should not be
neglected. Proxy servers are machines out in the open on the
internet and therefore can potentially be accessed by anyone. Don't
be fooled by thinking that just because there are so many other
computers and IPs on the internet that the chances of finding your
proxy server are zero. Technology today can allow someone to
potentially find your proxy server with great ease by simply
scanning IP ranges looking for servers that are not secured with a
password. Due to this you should never setup a proxy server that
doesn't use a password. If someone else gains access to your proxy
server then you can be held liable for any damages that they do
through the use of it. Instead of not using a password, look to use
software the can save usernames and passwords for the IP ports on
your proxy to save t...

Ads won't show up on Craigslist? Can't figure it out? There are a
number of reasons why you might be having problems getting ads to
appear on Craigslist. With these tips you should be able to post
more ads with less drama.
First, don't use words that you think might not be suitable for the
category. If posting to the for sale section, don't post ads which
aren't about items for sale. Craigslist uses complex filters to try
and stop people from posting ads in the wrong section. Each section
on Craigslist is different and most likely uses a different set of
filters. Second, avoid using any special html codes outside of what
Craigslist supports. Craigslist lists on their site which html
codes they permit and using unsupported codes may mean your ads are
blocked. Third, try to limit how many ads you post each day.
Ideally you want to post no more than 1 ad per IP each day. Posting
more than this this will work, but posting a lot of ads from one or
a few IPs in a short amount of...

The most common type of proxy is a webproxy. Their very name
webproxy falsely leads people into believing that a webproxy can be
used as a Craigslist proxy. However, this couldn't be further from
the truth. One of the biggest problems with web proxies is that
they are not anonymous. Ignoring the anonymity issue of your proxy
server will make posting ads on Craigslist a very difficult task.
Webproxies can be identified as webproxies by anyone who examines
any IP coming from a webproxy. This makes it extremely easy for
Craigslist and other sites to first inspect the true nature of an
IP and if it is detected as a proxy any ads coming from the IP are
banned. Since web proxies typically are free, there are some people
who make the mistake of assuming that all proxies are created
equally and they try to use them to post on Craigslist. This
obviously doesn't work and they quickly become frustrated. Even
though free is good, webproxies and other free proxies simply do
not work w...

How many IPs you get on your proxy server depends on a few things.
The first is what kind of budget do you have to spend on your proxy
server and secondly what quantity of ads are you looking to post
daily. Not having enough IPs on your proxy obviously means you will
be limited in the number of ads you can post. So if you are looking
to posts heaps of ads make sure that you get as many IPs as you can
afford. Are you just going to post one or two ads on Craigslist a
day? Or do you need to get hundreds of ads up? For those who would
be happy with just one or two ads, one IP on your proxy server
would be more than enough. This would be more than enough to do
what you need. However, if you need more than one hundred ads per
day you should look at getting anywhere from 5 to 10 IPs to begin.
Generally speaking, for every IP that you have on your proxy server
you can post approximately 10 ads. Using that rule you should be
able to quickly figure out if you have enough IPs on y...

Do you own or will you be setting up a
Craigslist Proxy
soon? If so make sure you get IPs from as many different C class IP
ranges as possible. It isn't a topic that is discussed often, but
by not making sure you are using IPs on your proxy server from
different C class IP ranges you are opening the door to be blocked
by Craiglsist.
Their are 4 main ranges for IPs, A B C and D. Ranges are used to
keep track of and log the network and ID of the network. Every
computer online has an IP which allows it to communicate with other
computers online, essentially functioning as an online mailing
address or phone number. Most people know that by going offline and
then back online you are able to change your IP, but usually the
new IP you are assigned is within the same range. This makes it
easy for companies to log your activities, as even though you have
changed your IP, it has not been changed to the extent that they
are unable to make any connection between your old and new I...

Having trouble gettings your posts on Craigslist? Usually there is
one main reason for this and that is why you more than likely will
need a
Craigslist proxy to get your ads showing.
Craigslist has a different website, one for each country. It is
required that you must reside in the country you wish to post
classified ads on, otherwise you simply will not be able to post
classified advertisements. Craigslist utilizes this as a way to
control spam. Why would someone want to post on another country
website? The main reason stems from the amount of traffic some
countries generate compared to others, such as China vs the USA.
The work around for this problem is through the use of a proxy.
Sadly, free proxies typically do not work. The reason why free
proxies usually fail is because Craigslist knows about these kinds
of proxies. All they need to do then is automatically remove any
advertisements that come from these free proxies. Furthermore, free
proxies are a bad...
