Is
Carpal Tunnel
Syndrome A Condition That Qualifies For Worker's
Comp?I had a very mild case of
Carpal
Tunnel syndrome. With an ergonomically correct
desk (such as keyboard tray) and one of those split/angled
keyboards, the pain was kept at a bare minimum... I barely had
pain. When I started my new job in January, I let them know of my
condition and that all I needed was a keyboard tray added to my
desk. (I still have the keyboard from my old job). I have brought
it up several times, but no one has gotten around to getting a
keyboard tray put in for me. I offered to order one and call
building maintenance, but was told that they would 'get around to
it'. They still haven't done it. I am now pregnant and I think the
swelling from pregnancy may be contributing more to the pain, but
all in all my hands hurt very badly. I can barely make a fist. If
this progrsses, is it considered a worker's comp issue?????

What Can I Do About My
Carpal
Tunnel Syndrome? What Are Some At-home Remedies?I
have a painful case of
Carpal
Tunnel in both of my wrists. I type all the time,
so that could be part of it. I wear a brace on one hand, and I wrap
gauze around the other. Are there any home remedies I could try? I
type more than I have to, but I do have to type some because I take
a computer class.

How Long/far Into Having
Carpal
Tunnel Syndrome Does Your
Strength Begin To Wear Away?Quick question.. I have noticed (along
with a few friends..) that my strength has greatly decreased in my
right hand (my dominant hand, also the hand with

strength begin to wear away, if at all? Thanks! --- By the way,
when I went to the Ortho. a few months ago, I only had a MILD case

Carpal
Tunnel Syndrome... Where Should I Go From
Here?I have been having pain in my hands for a little over a year
and just recently my doctor thought it might be
Carpal Tunnel syndrome. He
suggested I have an EMG test done. The results came back and i did
indeed have
Carpal tunnel. I received cortisone
shots in each wrist a little over a week ago and have gotten little
to no improvement. What should be the next step, surgery? I've been
wearing wrist splints at night and they don't seem to help... Could
i possibly have another problem as well as
Carpal
Tunnel? If i bend down the first joint of every finger i experience
pain and also a clicking sensation in my thumb. Is this common with
Carpal Tunnel or is it something
else. I have been tested for arthritis and this is not the case....

Help For Prenatal
Carpal Tunnel!?I have a severe
case of
Carpal Tunnel syndrome.
I've had it for the last 6 weeks or so of pregnancy. My doctor has
only recommended splints for at night, which do not help me at all.
I am due in a few days and look forward to it going away...in the
meantime, I worry I won't be able to take care of my baby when he
arrives. I do not have a repetitive job or do repetitive tasks at
home. I am looking for someone who as also suffered with this
condition during pregnancy to tell me how long it will take to go
away after the baby is born...if it will subside at all, that is.

Carpal
Tunnel Syndrome
Questions!?I've asked about
Carpal
Tunnel Syndrome before on here,
asking about some of the symptoms and things like this. I want to
re-describe my situation to you!.. I am 16 years old and I am on
the computer from 10-12 hours a day, and have been since about the
age of 8. No, I'm not really fat or anything, but I am pale! ;-)...
A few months or so ago, I got a tingling feeling on the back of my
wrist. This eventually spread throughout most of my hand and wrist
both. The tingling began to turn into a pain also when I would bend
my hand back or attempt to pick something up (ESPECIALLY when I
would try to pick something up.) I would like to know, does this
pretty much sound like a common case of CTS? Any information would
be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Also, when I carry stuff, like
groceries or something, my hand tends to fall asleep and/or become
numb and begin to tingle.

Carpal
Tunnel Syndrome?I was just wondering
whether or not I had
Carpal
Tunnel sydrome? I don't think it's anything
serious, but for the past 2-3 days my left hand has been feeling
like it has a faint case pins and needles. It's been tingling,
mainly on the left side near my ring finger and little finger and
numb as well, like it's hard to feel things with my little finger.
Plus my index finger has been hurting a little bit If I do have it,
what are ways of helping it get better without going to a doctor?
Thank you ^^ I was jus I don't work actually... I'm 15 years old.
I'm not overweight or anything... Thank you for all the answers ^^.
If I wait a while and then lift something heavy, I get a slight
jolt in my elbow, but it goes away almost instantly. If that helps
or anything...

Does This Sound Like
Carpal
Tunnel Syndrome (CTS)?For
starters, I'm a 23 year old male. I've experienced some progressing
symptoms over the last couple of weeks in my left hand. It started
out with some occasional tingling in my middle, ring and pinky
fingers. I initially wrote it off as my hand falling asleep. Over
the next couple of days the tingling continued and I noticed some
additional tingling toward the base of the aforementioned fingers.
Just a couple of days ago, the tingling has completely gone away
from the hand, but I noticed a slight pain and stiffness in my
middle finger. It only seemed noticeable when I tried to make a
fist or curl my middle finger in. When left in it's natural relaxed
state, I didn't feel it. Just today, though, I woke up and noticed
the pain and stiffness was a little bit worse. Not significantly
worse, but noticeable, Also it doesn't take quite as much movement
with my middle finger to notice the pain, as it used to. But again,
it's only accentuated if I try to curl it in. When left in it's
natural relaxed state, I just notice the stiffness. As for the
other finger on my left hand, I don't feel anything similar when
they are curled in. It may sound humorous, but I bring all of my
other fingers in and leave my middle finger extended (as if I were
flipping someone the bird) I do not feel any pain. It's only when I
try to bring the middle finger in with the rest of my finger that
it is noticeable. I've read that it's mostly common to get CTS in
the hand that you write with, but I write with my right hand, not
my left. I do work in front of a computer for about 7 hours of my
work day, though, so I know that may play a large part in it. In
any case, I have scheduled an appointment with my physician to see
what this could be. I just thought I'd see if anyone else had
experienced anything similar to this, or if anyone might be able to
shed some light. Thanks!

Carpal
Tunnel Problem And Solution?i am a
programmer with lot of typing to do. 10 days back i lifted about 10
kgs in each hand for about 30 minutes during shopping. since then i
am having pain in my left wrist....first i thot it was sprain, but
the pain seems to be increasing every day and spreading from the
wrist toward the elbow. no pain in resting position, but if i try
to turn my wrist it starts to pain. some people have told that this
is typical of 'carpal
Tunnel syndrome'....so if
this is the case i want to know. [i have no swelling, my age is 32,
this is the first time i have this pain] 1. how long it take to
heal? 2. is it just some kind of rest that is required? 3. should i
stop typing using my left hand? 4. now can this problem come to my
right hand easily? 5. any good advise to prevent this problem
getting worse?

Tendonitis And Initial
Carpal Tunnel?Hello, My
husband is suffering from severe tendonitis and initial
Carpal Tunnel syndrome. This
occurred due to excessive typing and strain on his hand and wrist.
He uses ice to reduce the swelling and pain. Can anyone share any
kind of self remedy for his problem?. Does he have to alternate
between ice and hot water therapy. In that case how often should he
alternate? Any help on this would be useful as he is suffering a
lot.
