Surgery Will The Bandages Come Off?I'm having
Surgery on Thursday for advanced
Carpal Tunnel surgery. I'm never
around to call the Dr. office to ask the nurse about the
After procedure. How long will the bandages have
to stay on and when can I use my hand again? I'm worried because
I'm an art student so this is inconvenient to say the least (has to
be done cuz I'm losing my insurance soon), and because I can't wipe
my butt with my left hand! hahaha ok TMI, sorry but its true. Any
advice? had
Surgery today, went well...bandages
come off in 3 days! yay! only a little pain.

Is The Pain
After The Newer Method Of
Carpal Tunnel
Release Surgery Severe? Can I
Still Care For A Newborn?I was scheduled to have
Carpal Tunnel
Release Surgery recently but was
told the day of
Surgery that I was pregnant! It
was highly suggested I postpone the
Surgery until
my second trimester due to the possible effects of the pain meds on
the growing baby. I would prefer to have the
Surgery when my maternity leave ends so I can stay
home a bit longer with my baby. It would be 12 weeks in total with
maternity leave and the recovery time for the surgery. My doc makes
it seem like there will be little to no pain
After
the
Surgery and I should only need tylenol no. 2
for about one day. He is urging me to have the
Surgery during my second trimester. Has anyone out
there had this
Surgery (the newer method where
only a one inch incision is made)? What was the pain like? How long
did you need to take pain medicine? Do you think I could care for a
six week old baby right
After the surgery? I would
have little help as my husband will work during the day. The
Surgery will be on my right hand. Any advice would
be greatly appreciated.

Scar From
Carpal Tunnel
Release Surgery - Is It Normal?I
had open
Carpal Tunnel
Release Surgery three and a half
weeks ago. The scar looked great, the stitches came out about two
weeks ago. Since then, the skin around where the stitches were has
done a lot of peeling. It is not oozing, it is not swollen, it's
just really really red and looks and feels a little raw sometimes.
I have a follow up appoinment tomorrow but nobody in the doctors
office seemed concerned when I told them about this. Just wondering
if this sounded normal. It is also in my dominant hand, which I use
a lot.

Carpal
Tunnel Release Surgery?I
would Love to hear from anyone who has had this surgery. I also had
Surgery for cubital
Tunnel which
is at the elbows. I had the
Surgery 2 years ago
and
After the very long painful healing process
felt some relief only in the way that I could lift items that were
normally to heavy for me. (Such as a gallon of milk!) Up untill 4
months ago I dealt with alot of anger and dissapointment that the
Surgery was such a failure. 4 months ago I had to
quit my parttime job as the constant pain, tightness and
inflammation was unbearable. I wear my splints to bed every night
and am physically limited. I feel so deceived by the promise that
this
Surgery would free me from my dibilitating
'Carpal
Tunnel Syndrome' Since I have not been
working I atleast am not dealing with the relentless 'Flair Up's'
Looking forward to hearing from those on there
outcome....laceyemerill
