In discussing Subliminal Messaging with my spouse, he brought up a study where a peace symbol was hung in a prominent place at a college; people stopped noticing it but subliminally it still affected them and they were indeed more peaceful toward one another. So, does having a highly detailed suffering jesus on a cross prominently displayed in your home have a negative effect on the environment, not reminding people of what he died for, but it a way innuring them to pain ad suffering, making it less valid?
