Thumb And Fingers Bothering Me,
Carpal
Tunnel Syndrome?Lately I have been noticing pain
in my fingers and thumbs. My thumb tends to cramp up while text
messaging and gets sore and stiff. While typing my fingers at times
hurt or also become stiff. My wrists have always bothered me to a
small extent and I have a habit of squeezing my wrists when they
are bothering me and also stretching them as both seem to help. I'm
only eighteen but I do text message a lot though my wrists were
bothering me before I started texting. Thoughts on what's wrong?

Carpal
Tunnel Syndrome?I was just recently
diagnosed with
Carpal Tunnel
syndrome, I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions for
pain relief. It bothers me when I'm texting, typing, the simplest
things such as opening a jar. I have a brace for night time relief,
but should I be wearing it during the day sense it really bothers
me? Does anyone have any ideas that have worked for them? thanks.

Do I Have
Carpal Tunnel
Syndrome?! I'm Only 14...?I did the tests where you tap the nerve
path and do the T-shape thing and the tips of my fingers, mostly
between my first finger and thumb get tingly, and my wrists hurt.
They started hurting a few minutes after I was playing guitar and
texting, which I was doing all day like always. I text a lot...
like at least 1,500 a month so I'm freakin out that I have CTS What
else can I do to test this? Anything? How long before I know that I
need to see a doctor/know I have it?

What's Up With Texting?Hello everyone. Call me old-fashioned but I
am having a really hard time understanding what all the fuss is
about regarding the current widespread practice of 'texting.' One
hears of young people who spend hours a day in this activity, of
teenagers who send out hundreds, even thousands, of text messages
each month, or week. Young people have been caught
Texting while in class, while driving, while in
the shower. Why not just call the other person? It is much faster,
more direct, and saves wear and tear on the fingers. Soon, I
suppose, there will be a new kind of 'carpal
Tunnel syndrome' afflicting the millions of teens
who are ruining their thumbs with the incessant key tapping. Is
Texting that much cheaper? Is it more cool to
leave messages than to talk in real time? Does it get addictive,
like playing video games? Someone clue me in, please.
