How Do I Get Ripped In 30 Days?okay so I am a 14 year old guy and am a dedicated long distance runner. I do around 3-5 miles a day for 6 Days a week I took a short break but other then that I havent stopped running this summer. 30 Days Notice For Gym Membership...but I Think They Are Charging Me For 60 Days...?Just curious, I went into my gym on 5/4 to give In writing my 30 day cancellation notice. That same day 5/4 was my billing date. How I see it the dues taken out that day covered the 30 Days that I was responsible for. They charged me my dues on 5/4 PLUS the dues for 6/4 having my membership go 60 Days from the day I cancelled and ending on 7/4... How Do You Not Get Ripped Off By Extended Warranties?My wife had a cancer operation that removed half her insides and we decided to purchase a compact washer and dryer at Home Depot to have upstairs. The sales person told us that an extended warranty would make sure that we would have no problems until the year 2010 and if a tech had to come out more than 3 times they would replace it. Well the dryer broke at christmas and 4 tech visits later It's still not fixed and needs to be junked. After 2 Days of phone calls and my wife In tears Home Depot offered us a lesser model and said we had to pay $100.00 for a new warranty. I made another 2 Days of phone calls and they said that the warranty company would refund our money but it would take at least 30 Days to process. These are the same guys who tried to fix it for 2 months. Did I Get Ripped Off? How Much Should A Used Manual Transmission For A 97 Toyota Corolla Cost?My boyfriend and I brought our 97 Toyota Corolla into the shop this past week, knowing that it needed a transmission and possibly a new clutch kit. The guy quoted between 800-1200, for a REBUILT transmission, +labor+clutch. When my boyfriend went to put a deposit down, they even told him that the owner of the shop himself was going to rebuild a tranny for us. However, on the deposit receipt, the tranny is listed as 'used'. We went to pick up the car yesterday, and the final receipt also lists the tranny as 'used', and with a 30 day warranty. WHAT!!!!!!! I want to know, did the shop break a verbal contract, or is my boyfriend stupid for not catching the word 'used' when he made the deposit? Also, whats up with a 30 day warranty? What do I do if this thing takes a crap on day 31? Spend another Grand? Oh yeah. The shop charged us 550.00 for the tranny, 243.00 for the clutch kit, and 500.00 for labor. 1300.00 total.
