She is going to be operated on 1 wrist shortly then the other, but is worried the op wont work And she'll still have pain. Exercises For Carpal Tunnel Syndrome?Does anyone know of any good websites with illustrations for Carpal Tunnel exercises? my Shoulder is killing me too, so if you know any for Shoulder exercises that would be great... Is It Carpal Tunnel Syndrome?After sitting at the computer for about 5-10 minutes, I get this aching Pain from half way in between my elbow And my Shoulder all the way up to my neck. Its a really stiff feeling And it makes me tense And when I get tense I get a migraine. I asked my mom about it And she said it could be Carpal Tunnel Syndrome so I looked up the symptoms, And though I do have some of the symptoms, such as tinglyness in my hand And when pressure is put on the tips of my fingers they go numb And a bit of a burning sensation, the Pain with Carpal Tunnel is all in the hand from the thumb to around your middle finger And can spread up to your elbow. Looking For Some Advice From A Doctor/someone With Or Has Had Carpal Tunnel Syndrome?I was told I had Carpal Tunnel Syndrome And that it sometimes heals by itself, which mine didn't/hasn't. So I went back to the doctor And I've been referred to hospital for a nerve test. My first question is: what happens when you have a nerve test? The doctor said something about it showing where the nerve has been trapped/twisted, so could you also explain if it's trapped in a certain place how serious it is And what will happen after I get the results? In the mean time, is there anything I can do about the pain? It started off in my elbow And then occasionally in my shoulder, but now it's constantly in my shoulder, up my neck And stopping by my ear. Carpal Tunnel Sufferers....?I was wondering, what the symptoms are for Carpal Tunnel syndrome, if you have had it for a long period of time. I do have a Doctors appointment on Tuesday to talk about it, but these are my symptoms; Pains in my wrist And hands that last for days, it is hard to grasp objects, even drive, without being in pain, I wake up because my shoulders And upper neck are in Pain And it doesn't go away, so I get up, because I can't go back to sleep. This is quickly followed by Pain where the nerve gives sensation in the hand. The hand may begin to feel like it's 'asleep,' especially in the early morning hours after a night's sleep. Pain may spread up the arm to the Shoulder And even to the side of the neck. If the condition progresses, the thenar muscles of the thumb can start to weaken And atrophy, causing the hand to be clumsy when picking up a glass or cup. If the pressure keeps building in the hand, the thenar muscles may begin to shrink (atrophy). I Have Shoulder/arm Pain?im a 19 year old female And since july of last year i have been having Pain in my left Shoulder And upper arm(this is my dominant arm),its like a sharp And dull pain,things like stirring liquids,holding heavy things above my head or even just holding heavy things And pushing or pulling heavy objects will bring this Pain on through out the day,but it always comes in the afternoon/night even if im not doing anything,sometimes throughout the day it feels like its locking in place,i can feel its click when i move it to get it out of the locking position iv had blood tests,steroid injections,anti inflammatories(x2),antibiotics,iv rested it in a sling for 2 weeks,exercised it daily,had a nerve test done for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome all tests came back negitive my docter still has no idea what this may be,i was just wondering if anyone might have had something like this And might have an idea what it may be i also have neurofibroma,i was kinda thinking it could be a lump inside my arm causing all the pain,or is it something else any help to helping me find out what this might be would be very well appreciated i have an appointment with the orthopaedic surgeon,but it aint for another 8 months [ Read More ]

Pins And Needles, Both Arms And Both Feet, With Pain In Feet.?For some time now I have been having pins And needles in one arm And in the last four or five weeks I have had it in both. Scans show that I have muscle damage in the right shoulder, And Carpal Tunnel Syndrome in right hand (but they will not do anything about either). The left arm starts at the shoulder, seems to be sometimes painful under left armpit And outer fingers are tingling or numb. I sleep on my back most of the time, And if I do turn, I will turn right (which is why I always fell out of bed in hospital to the right, but that is another story!!!) My feet are always painful, sitting or standing. I have high arches And shortened achilles tendons, again there is nothing to do, I just have to live with it. Unless I go private. Which, being unemployed, I cannot. When they are not hurting so much, my feet are constantly tingly. I am diabetic. Any advice PLEASE! I have been to countless doctors And they all say that I have to learn to live with it, they cannot find a cause, though the scan did show muscle damage in one shoulder.
