How To Tell If My Wrist Pain Is Carpal Tunnel Without Issues With My Fingers?I have had Pain in my wrists that seem like Carpal Tunnel Syndrome but have had no issues with my fingers. Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Or Wrist Injury?I have pains in my right Wrist that hasn't seemed to improve since I've had my son was born (Nov 06). I thought that it might be Carpal Tunnel syndrome, but when I looked up the signs and symptoms of it I realized I don't have the numbness, Pain up the arm, tingling, or any of the other signs listed. My Wrist primarily bothers me when doing things that 'uses' the Wrist movement. For example, I went to close the car door the other day and must have turned to soon or something and that hurt. At first I thought it was a pulled muscle or something from carrying the infant carrier. Now, 8 months later, I'm not sure what it is. Does this sound like the beginning stages of CTS or is it possible that I injured my Wrist (spraign, fracture, etc) and it's never healed yet due to the usage of it (w/o treatment)? [ Read More ]

This Is Weird! Can I Have Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Without Having Any Of The Symptoms But The Pain?My left hand hurts from the base of the thumb and forefinger to the wrist. I looked up Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (which I was told it could be) and I don't have any of the symptoms or warning signs that the site said. A few of those included numbness and tingling the night before, and then waking up with the Pain there or something like that. Horrible Wrist Problem, Not Carpal Tunnel Syndrome?first off, it's not Carpal tunnel, so keep an open mind. For about a year now, my right Wrist has gotten progressively worse. as a background, i'm 21, played flute in school, did cosmetology, worked as CNA, then worked in an office several months using an adding machine all day. I'm right handed and it's gotten so bad, my Wrist is almost diabled. The other night, I woke up and instead of just being asleep, my arm was completely paralyzed. I cant pick up anything over a pound or two, I have no grip at all,and my hand is drawing to the right and will not straighten. I cant bend it or straighten it much at all. My fingers hurt when I try to do certain things like stretch them. When I try to rotate my wrist, something sounds like it's grinding inside it below my thumb. You can see the deformity there on the thumb side and thats where the Pain is focused, which causes my hand to turn outward and my outer part to hurt.
