Opera Software announced today that it has acquired Mobile Theory
Inc. and 4th Screen Advertising, Ltd., to significantly expand its
offering to advertisers and mobile publishers that engage consumers
via the mobile web and applications, across all mobile platforms.
Opera offers complete advertising solutions for mass-market feature
phone and smartphone platforms, including iOS, Android, Blackberry,
Java and Symbian.

Europeans are procrastinators — at least that is what web browser
company Opera Software’s latest research into users’ mobile
browsing habits shows. This past holiday season, U.S. mobile phone
users shopped early, while Europeans used their phones for

Idea Cellular, India’s third-largest mobile operator and Opera
Software have recently signed a deal to offer a customized Opera
Mini mobile web browser to its subscribers across India. Idea
customers will be able to download this co-branded version of Opera

international supplier of Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA)
solutions, announced today that AwoX DLNA technology, mediaCTRL
SDK, is now integrated into the Opera Devices SDK. This solution
will enable TV and set-top-box manufacturers to entertain users
with easy access to high quality content across different devices.

Opera Software and INTEK Digital, a leading set-top-box
manufacturer, today announced that the two companies will work
together to deliver a better web experience for connected TV
viewers. Opera Software will provide licenses for the Opera Devices
Software Development Tool Kit (SDK) on its Android-based Hybrid
set-top box (STB) including HbbTV. This new STB will be shipped in
the first half of 2012.
