Day by day calendars are a fun way to have a date reminder on your desk at the office. They also make a nice day ritual: looking what the new day has to offer. Some are funny, some are smart, some help you become smart. Here are some desk calendar selections:
The best way to teach your kids about Christmas, is surely by celebrating Advent. One way of doing that is by having an advent calendar and opening a door every day till Christmas. Here are a few advent calendar alternatives:
Oh – and do you kn0w as much about Advent as you think you do?

The Audubon Society publishes roughly two kinds of calendars:
I’ve found you both on my hub devoted to Audubon Wildlife and Nature Calendars.
See also my squidoo pages on the topic:
and… Audubon nature photography calendarFor those of you who are late to get yourself an uplifting calendar… I’ve made a few pages with Christian Calendars and planners.
First off the general pages:
Then there’s specifically about the Bible:
Stickers for anybody with a schedule to keep
Joan’s remark that she loves calendar stickers made me look for them – and guess what I found them. Let me start with the set for just about everybody: Calendar stickers for every day planning and organising (see the illustration to the right).
But that’s not all I found. There’s are also sets of stickers for moms, dads and anybody who has to manage a family. New moms and dads have an especially hard time, so they’ve made stickers for pregnancy and those first baby milestones.
Last but not least… How about stickers for cat lovers or dog owners?
Awesome nature photography at its best…. all around the world and that on some very beautiful calendars and agenda books for 2010.
You’ll find Desk calendars come in several sizes: Some engagement planners are called Desk Calendars too. There are Desk Pad Calendars which are a help in keeping your desk clean while also always having a place to jot down quick notes. And then there are page a day calendars devoted to all kinds of themes. Whether it’s religion, spirituality, baseball, art, guitars or crafts – there’s something for everybody. I hope my selection helps you make your pick.

I’m going big into the calendar niche this year and have published several lenses about calendars this past month. The themes I’ve explored are: wildlife and nature, surrealism, green living and fine fairy fantasy art.
When I saw these Cute Baby Animals Calendars and Planners I really could not avoid making a lens about them. I mean who can resist baby animals, all that fur?
Similarly Hummingbirds are surely the most beautiful songbirds ever.
When I found the art calendars by Susan Bourdet I was impressed by her use of color and the realism of her nature paintings.
Speaking of songbirds, there were Beautiful Songbird photography calendars and
planners as well as
Songbird art calendars for 2010.
Ecologically sound living is hot right now, which is why there are a few (not that many) calendars out there devoted to Green Living Tips.
I love Surrealistic Art, so it was natural to make a page about calendars devoted to the subject. The most famous surrealist artist is of course Salvador Dali and there are plenty of calendars out there devoted to his work.
Tibet is probably the most famous of territories currently occupied by a foreign nation. These calendars are devoted to Tibet and share not just the religion, or photographs of monks, but also of the landscape and the people.
One of the religions I tend to ignore is Judaism. Yet there are some great Jewish calendars and planners available.
Last but not least – who doesn’t love Fairies? These wonderful fantasy pictures will delight young girls and grown up women. Some are even done so well that men may like them too…
