You're nobody 'til somebody
spoofs you in a celebrity sex tape!
This should make you feel better about all the frogs you've kissed: We've got five bucks that says Adele's ex is worse than yours!
The songstress' six gong sweep at last weekend's Grammy Awards has been marred by reports that the "Someone Like You" hit-maker was caught on camera getting her moan on with a former flame.
Word 'round the blogosphere has it that the cad who left the star for one of her gay friends, subsequently inspiring a host of the heartbreak tracks featured on Adele's award-winning sophomore LP 21, has exacted revenge on the soul stirrer.
How, you ask? Why, by unveiling their private sex tape for the gawking pleasure of music lovers everywhere!
Aww, snap!
French celebrity gossip magazine Public dedicated three pages to the so-called "Adele Sex Tape" in an issue that arrived on newsstands Friday. The publication's feature included still images purported to be of a naked Adele in the throes of passion in the back seat of a car.
"Adele, the Sex Tape, her ex takes his revenge," read the headline.
We hear French paparazzo Jean Claude Elfassi is behind the scandalous reports. The Parisian blogger saw his site shut down this afternoon, shortly after announcing that he planned to publish a snippet from the tape sometime over the weekend.
Adele vehemently denies that she's ever appeared in an eff flick and has already unleashed the wrath of her team of fancy suits on Elfassi and Public. "Untrue and grossly defamatory" and "100 percent false" was among the language used by Adele's legal team when quizzed about the reports.
A statement from the star's reps reads:
"We are informed that the French magazine Public has today published images which it claims show our client in a sex tape. Our client has not appeared in a sex tape as claimed in the article. Our client does not appear in the photographs. Such claims are untrue and grossly defamatory. Our client is taking legal action in relation to this matter."
Adele has never identified the 21 heartbreaker that left her romantically wounded, but this isn't the first time an ex has become a pain in her beehive. Another of Adele's former beaus came back to haunt the vocalist shortly after her melancholy 2009 debut album, 19, sold millions of copies.
The "Chasing Pavements" powerhouse poured her emotions into her music after being unceremoniously dumped by the unnamed partner. Adele always knew her phantom lover was trouble, but she was downright stunned when the guy contacted her requesting a portion of her earnings.
Uh-huh, the guy demanded a slice of the royalties from her chart-topping disc after learning that several of the tracks that helped it go platinum were actually inspired by their bust-up.
"For about a week he was calling and was deadly serious about it. Finally, I said, 'Well, you made my life hell, so I lived it and now I deserve it.' He really thought he'd had some input into the creative process by being a p***k. I'll give him this credit -- he made me an adult and put me on the road that I'm traveling."
R&B crooner Robin Thicke was arrested Friday in Manhattan for possession of marijuana, according to the New York Daily News.
"Thicke was being processed Friday afternoon and is expected to receive a desk appearance ticket," the newspaper reported, adding that no specific details of his pot bust were immediately available.
The husband of actress Paula Patton has admitted that he's battled a cocaine addiction for several years — his song, "Cocaine" even talks about his addiction in detail.
"I'll say I never met a drug I didn't like," Thicke told a New York City radio station in 2011. He later abandoned his drug use for Patton and their young son, Julian.
"Have you seen my wife?" he said when asked how he stays clean. "For me, it's easy but if your wife doesn't look like mine and she's not a beautiful person inside and out then who knows how you're going to withstand all that temptation. But for me, I'm a very blessed man and I'm very happy, as a matter of fact, I'm very lucky and I work very hard to keep that woman happy."
The singer's father, actor Alan Thicke, also allegedly battled drug addiction.
Apparently, the blue-eyed crooner has no filter when it comes to talking about his personal life — and that includes his sex life.
"I like to try to get her into double-digit orgasms as much as possible," he told Essence.com in December. "It doesn't happen all the time, but when I've got my mojo and my swag, it happens. Every few months it's just like bam — repeated. Repeated! I like her to just be going crazy in the bedroom."
Whoa. His life isn't all about sex, though. Apparently, his new album, Love After War, was inspired by an extended dry spell.
"She was busy on the set [working] and I was losing my mojo," Thicke told Chelsea Handler about making his new album. "I was taking care of the baby — we have a new year-and-a-half-old son, Julian… After a week or so, I wasn't getting none… I was like, I need to make a song that's gonna put her in some lingerie."
The warlock is back!
After months of behaving himself and trying to play nice in the
wake of his acrimonious separation from Two and a Half
Men and Warner Bros., Charlie Sheen is telling us how he really feels
about his replacement. Hint: It ain't pretty.
"I'm tired of pretending Ashton doesn't suck," Sheen told TMZ today.
In the fall, Sheen had made the rounds of late night talk shows and the Emmys talking about how happy he was Ashton Kutcher had the opportunity to take over for him in the sitcom and how great Demi Moore's ex was -- but Sheen said it was all talk.
"I'm tired of lying," he said. "I'm tired of pretending the show doesn't suck... I'm tired of pretending Ashton doesn't suck."
Demi Moore probably agrees.
"It's nothing personal... I just feel bad for him. He's saddled with such bad writing," Sheen said, making sure to get in a dig toward writer/director Chuck Lorre.
Sheen might be alone in his opinion of Kutcher's role, however. Since Sheen left and Kutcher took over, Two and a Half Men debuted to its highest ratings ever and is seeing more viewers than the last several seasons in which Sheen starred.
What set the warlock off after months of playing nice? Probably that cease and desist letter he got from Warner Bros. telling him to stop using Two and a Half Men promo pics to pitch his new show Anger Management. When he got that notice, he called his old haunt a "steaming pile of a**."
Robert Pattinson
isn't a vampire, and can't play a teenager forever. The actor's
spent the past four years riding a wave of success fueled by
The Twilight
Saga, which comes to a dramatic close this fall.
While in Berlin, promoting his latest film Bel Ami, Pattinson told reporters that despite rumors, he's not really interested in doing another Twilight.
"I'd be curious what Stephenie would write, but I just think I'd probably be too old. I'm already too old," said Pattinson.
At the ripe age of 25, Pattinson feels that the Edward Cullen ship has sailed.
Logically, it would be hard for any of the vampire actors to maintain their youthful appearances. Makeup and CGI can only do so much.
The Twilight Saga is a $2.5 billion franchise, and its studio would love to keep it going. They estimate that Breaking Dawn Part 2, which opens Nov. 16, will gross around $700 million worldwide.
If Twilight author Stephenie Meyer decided to write another book, Lionsgate says they'd "be there to support her" with another film.
Since getting his big break, Pattinson has tried to diversify his acting portfolio. Aside from Twilight, he's appeared in several smaller, character driven films to flex his acting muscle.
He worked opposite Pierce Brosnan in 2010's Remember Me and Oscar-winners Reese Witherspoon and Christoph Waltz in last year's Water for Elephants.
His latest film, Bel Ami, is a period piece that features a slew of talented actresses like Uma Thurman, Christina Ricci and Kristin Scott Thomas. The film opens in theaters March 2.
Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance is set somewhere in
Eastern Europe where each raven-haired, blue-eyed Slavic gal is
more beautiful than the last . Possibly a gypsy, Violante Placido
plays Nadya, the mother of a very unique boy who may be the devil
incarnate. After her son Danny, played by a stoic Fergus Riordan,
is kidnapped by Roarke, an oddly-cast Ciaran Hinds, the Catholic
Church hires Ghost Rider to retrieve him. If he brings them the
boy, they will lift his curse -- much easier said than done.
With post-apocalyptic art design and a rocking' death-metal soundtrack, this movie succeeds with its turbulent action sequences and pyrotechnic rampages. There are also some fun glimmers of humor only a film this kooky can provide. Like when Nicolas Cage refers to Nadya as the "devil's baby-momma" or when Danny asks the Ghost Rider, "What happens if you have to pee when you're on fire?" His answer makes for certainly more than one teenage boy's fantasy. The film gets Toyota Prius-equivalent mileage out of Catholic archetypes and rituals, providing the strangest Holy Communion ever seen through 3-D glasses.
Cage makes good use of his quirks, facial tics and penchant for going over the top . But playing a character like the Ghost Rider takes this kind of commitment. Based on the Marvel comic books, Cage stays true to the dark, outlandish tone. British Shakespearian actor Ciaran Hinds is less successful in this genre, appearing to channel Robert De Niro in Cape Fear and coming off a little goofy. That said, Hinds was the best Caesar I could have ever imagined in HBO's Rome. Idris Elba in super-sexy gold contact lenses plays Monroe, grounding the story with his strong will and enduring religious faith.
Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance battles good and evil in three dimensions, never compromising for sentimentality and always pushing the flashy, fiery envelope of spectacle.
Bottom line: If you like to watch things ignite into flames while pondering the nature of evil, you'll love this movie.
Reese Witherspoon
is kind of a big deal herself, so her reaction to meeting
Prince William
and Kate
Middleton is just that much more adorable.
The This Means War star told Ellen DeGeneres that her meeting with the royals made her pretty much as nervous as a first date.
"Somebody called me and said… would you want to come over and meet the prince and princess?" the Oscar winner told Ellen. "I was like, 'Yes' -- my husband just thought I was so dorky. He was like, 'Why are you so excited?'"
Kate is actually a duchess, not a princess, but that's neither here nor there. Witherspoon told Ellen she "must of tried on like six outfits" prior to the meeting, held when Prince William and his bride visited Los Angeles last summer.
"I'm meeting a princess, you don't understand," Witherspoon explained. "You have to be wearing the right outfit and the whole thing. I don't know, maybe we can be friends. So we went and it's always funny. Whenever I am super excited about things, my husband calls it the double barrel -- that's when I smile so big I look like a child."
"I was so excited to meet her. Y'all, she's a princess. I mean, I would like to hang out. I'm not sure she wants to hang out with me, [but] I could see that happening," she gushed.
"She seems like such a lady and I think it's so nice now days to see someone with such nice composure and carries herself so beautifully."
Catch Reese Witherspoon in her new flick This Means War with hunky co-stars Chris Pine and Tom Hardy, currently in theaters.
The autism
diagnosis
Toni Braxton said she knew something was different about her son Diezel when he was just an infant. "As a mom, I knew something was different about him when he was probably about nine months old," she told Fox and Friends. "By the time he became a year and a half I said, 'He's not developing like his older brother.'"
The six-time Grammy Award winning singer said he was finally diagnosed with the developmental disorder autism when he was 3 years old -- and she admitted she had a hard time accepting the diagnosis.
"I felt sorry for myself for a long time and I blamed myself. I thought it was something I had done," she shared. "Friends came to me, that are like me, and said 'Okay, you're not a victim, our babies are great, they're fine, get him into these therapies.'"
She said that in addition to her friends, SheKnows.com "was very beneficial" in helping her deal with the diagnosis. "I loved them at hello," she said.
In fact, SheKnows co-founder Nancy Price has a son diagnosed with autism and she has provided a wealth of information on early diagnosis, keeping your autistic child safe and tips on connecting with your child.
"Early diagnosis makes a lifetime of difference," Braxton says. "We have him in occupational therapy, speech therapy, he's being mainstreamed [and] he's in public school, general ed. He does have his special ed therapies, but we are very, very lucky."
SheKnows
Where the Other Sock Went campaign
"It's a wonderful idea. I mean, we all have washers and dryers at home in America but there is a sock monster in every dryer," Braxton said. "So we went to the sock monster and said, 'Okay guys, let's do a deal. Give us the socks back, let us do something for charity, make this wonderful dress.'"
Project Runway All Stars' Michael Costello designed the one-shoulder gown using over 700 single socks that were donated and signed by celebrities. The custom-made sock dress was unveiled on Feb. 10, 2012, at New York Fashion Week.
"When SheKnows called me... I was all over it," Costello told People. "I love a challenge, and I just thought it was something that could be totally cool."
The advertising campaign will be shot by fashion photographer Nigel Barker and the sock dress will be auctioned this spring with all the proceeds to benefit Autism Speaks.

We chatted with the founder of Yummie, Heather Thomson, to get the scoop on the hottest shapewear brand in town and get you some beauty tips for loving your look. And we took a test drive in a few items from the brand to get you the honest opinion on whether it really works or not. Check it out!
Thomson: We differ completely. All you have to do is close your eyes and touch the products. Other shapewear brands have their purpose and we have ours. We didn't launch onto the scene because we did the same thing; we have our own point of view and they have theirs. Our brand mission is focused on innovation and comfort, and I'm continuously thinking of ways to evolve the brand and better serve our customers.
Thomson:
Thomson: That's my word. Whether it's a pair of heels or Champagne or a new baby, yummie is my descriptor for all things good. When my first child was in my belly, I called it my yummie tummie. People would touch my stomach and I would say, 'I know, isn't it yummie?' When my son was born and I was complaining to my best friend Pam that my tummie was not so yummie anymore, I put the 3-panel tank I created on and Pam said to me, 'Your tummie is yummie again!' Pam named it -- it's your Yummie Tummie!!
Thomson: Spend time understanding your best features and how to work with them and understand what you deem to be your flaws and learn how to work with them. If you are comfortable and believe in yourself and what you're wearing, then it will show and you will always look great. Clothes should enhance you, not make you unsure or comfortable.
I always have my few investment pieces in my closet that will last me a few seasons. That way you can easily build a new wardrobe by reinventing old looks with these new key pieces. Right now, my go-to piece is my Gucci over-the-knee boots, my everyday python print bag from my best friend Pam's Good Charma collection and my favorite denim, Yummie evening wash skinny jeans!
A lot of shapewear brands try to suck you in but in the process, they suck the life -- or breath -- out of you. As I quickly found out, that's not Yummie. I tested two items from the brand and have the scoop on how they fared!
Milan Legging Cotton Collection: I'm a big leggings gal. I love to wear them under long tops, dresses, when lounging around the house, etc. But the bad thing about leggings is that they don't always suck you in around the stomach like jeans do. So I was excited to test out these leggings! I was a bit worried that they'd be too tight or that it'd be an ordeal to shimmy into them but was pleasantly surprised to find that these leggings are both comfy and effective.
The Milan Legging helped smooth out my tummy and create a clean line under clothing, and they were comfy and breathable but helped me feel secure and tucked in -- from my stomach right down to my ankles. These are definitely going to be my go-to leggings now!
Mid Rise Straight Leg Denim: Even
though I practically live in dresses and skirts, I love my
jeans and I'm always on the hunt for the perfect, comfy
pair. I tested out these jeans in the Evening Standard wash
and was super impressed with the level of comfort they
provided.
These jeans suck you in around the middle and make your thighs look awesome, but they're still soft and comfy. The color is flattering and versatile too -- perfect for day or night!

On Thursday night, the competition was soft. American Idol easily won the ratings race, while CBS' The Big Bang Theory nipped at its heels. ABC banked on a highly-publicized crossover event between their dramas Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice, while NBC stuck to its comedy fare.
So how did everyone do? Here's the breakdown:
American Idol's two-hour telecast pulled in 16.5 million viewers, making it the highest-rated show of the night. But during the first half of the 8 o'clock block, The Big Bang Theory stole its crown. The comedy actually beat Idol in total viewers with 15.5 million compared to 15 million.
Despite that early hiccup, Fox still won the night, while CBS came in second and ABC third. The latter was a huge disappointment considering the hype surrounding the Grey's Anatomy-Private Practice crossover. Out of the two dramas, one showed visible improvement, while the other floundered.
Grey's tied a season low with 8.1 million viewers, down 23 percent from last week. Its spin-off Private Practice experienced a slight boost with 7.1 million viewers, which is up 18 percent. According to The Hollywood Reporter, it was the only Thursday program that showed a positive change.
NBC suffered another loss this week. The network came in fourth place with three comedies hitting series lows. Parks and Recreation pulled a mere 3.5 million viewers, The Office had 4.3 million and Up All Night had just 3 million. The veteran 30 Rock also experienced a 13 percent drop with 3.6 million viewers.
Overall, Thursday wasn't too kind to the major networks. Where was everybody?
Just when we thought we'd seen it all, Babyccinos arrive on the scene as the newest trend in hip parenting. And, believe it or not, this story doesn't even come from coffee-obsessed Seattle.
Parents in Brooklyn, New York, are teaching their little ones to love caffeine at an early age... Better increase that Starbucks budget, parents!
"A BABYccino?" You're surely muttering to yourself right now, "You mean a cappuccino? For babies?" Although it's a cute twist on the name of this traditional Italian coffee drink , a Babyccino is the hottest new drink that foodie parents are exposing their children to.
According to The Huffington Post and The Brooklyn Paper this week, parents living in the well-known and increasingly popular 'burbs of New York City, Brooklyn, are regularly ordering this off-the-menu drink for their little ones, alongside their own caffeinated versions. Both articles state that a Babyccino can mean either a flavored steamed milk or a tiny, real cappuccino -- made with a shot of decaf espresso and topped with hot milk and frothy foam.
It's no secret that more and more parents are strapping their kids in car seats on the foodie train -- teaching them to love and appreciate food in a different way and expanding their new palates beyond just PB-and-J and boxed macaroni-and-cheese -- but is ordering coffee drinks, albeit decaf ones, taking things a step too far?
In a day in age where parents are hyper-sensitive about what their children eat -- allergies and intolerances to wheat, dairy, nuts and more are all part of common day-to-day chatter between moms -- it seems ironic that it's likely the same parents who are verifying that the local preschool serves only gluten-free snacks are also ordering their child a Babyccino.
But, is there truly any harm to letting your child drink a shot of decaf espresso?
According to the Center for Science in the Public Interest, one ounce of Starbucks decaffeinated espresso contains four milligrams of caffeine. In comparison, one ounce of Coke contains 4.5-milligrams of caffeine... and remember that a can of Coke is a full 12 ounces, making sipping on a little Babyccino come in pretty low on the relative caffeine scale.
While you may not see your child bouncing off the walls after one Babyccino, parents who allow their children to drink caffeinated beverages of any kind -- including decaf espresso and soda -- need to remember that caffeine is both addictive and dehydrating.
What real moms say about
taking a coffee break with their kids
So, would you order a decaf-Babycinno for your little one the next time you hit up your favorite spot to grab a coffee? There seems to be a split amongst real moms that we talked to -- half of the moms seem to think it's harmless fun when done in moderation and the other half wouldn't even consider it.
Mom of two children under the age of five, Melissa, sheepishly admits that she has allowed her children to have a little cappuccino on occasion. She says, "Once in a while can't hurt. I wouldn't make it a daily habit [for my kids], but I would rather them drink that than [something full of] fat and sugar."

While many children grow out of sleeplessness, there are plenty of kids that carry the burden with them into adulthood. A study published in Alcoholism: Clinical and Experimental Research shows a connection between childhood sleeplessness and adult alcoholism and drug abuse. This is yet another reason to encourage healthy sleep habits for your kids.
If your child is having trouble sleeping, he may be at risk for a much more serious condition in adulthood: addiction. Speaking of the aforementioned study, Andrew Spanswick, MSW and CEO of KLEAN Treatment Center, says, "[I]t was found that those who experienced sleep problems as children were more than twice as likely to use marijuana or alcohol at an earlier age. Obviously, this greatly increases the likelihood that full-blown addiction or alcoholism may result."
Parents play an important role in monitoring their child's sleep patterns and intervening if needed. This could mean seeking professional help.
Maybe you've never made the connection between childhood sleep patterns and a healthy lifestyle as an adult, but it actually makes perfect sense. "One of the chief complaints of my patients who are suffering from alcoholism or addiction is that they have severe problems sleeping," says Spanswick. "[M]any claim that they use drugs or alcohol solely to solve their sleep problems and quell the anxieties they feel around the subject."
There are many factors that contribute to adulthood addiction and many of them are related to childhood experiences. Sleep patterns can now be included in that list.
Now that you know the dangerous impact a lack of sleep can have on the long term health of your kids, you may be able to change the trajectory of their lives by teaching healthy habits. "[S]it your kids down and teach them about the importance of proper sleep hygiene," says Spanswick. "It is a great idea to set a sleep schedule for your kids. This trains their body from an early age when it's time to sleep and when it's not. Parents can also encourage their children to engage in relaxing activities before bed, avoiding high energy situations if possible." Exercise a bit of diligence now when it comes to your child's sleep habits and your effort will pay off down the road.

Kim Kardashian's ex-publicist, Jonathan Jaxson, ignited the family's furor when he admitted that he staged various publicity stunts for his client. The Kourtney & Kim Take New York star denied it at the time, but her current publicist might be up to the same tricks.
The new Kardashian target? Breakout New York Knicks star Jeremy Lin, according to MediaTakeOut.com.
"She thinks [Jeremy] is cute, and she's good friends with [Jeremy's teammate, Carmelo Anthony's wife] Lala. It's going to be a double date," a source told the website on Thursday of the planned "date" allegedly being orchestrated by her publicist.
Lin is said to be "excited" to meet her, according to sources. The problem? It's not true.
"This is not true and there's never been any conversations about this," a Kardashian source told The Huffington Post. SheKnows has also reached out to her rep to get the official word on the story.
We can't really blame anyone for thinking she'd actually do something like this — E! producers reportedly approached another Knicks player, Danilo Gallinari, in 2010 for a date with the reality star. He turned it down.
"Danilo said he would love to meet Kim but was not interested in dating her or being on a reality show," a source told the U.K.'s Daily Mail. "Even though E! explained it would be great for his career, Gallinari turned the offer down."
Kris Humphries did agree to it — and we all know how that turned out.
However, Reggie Bush's ex told Allure that she wants to keep all future relationships private.
"Whenever I choose to get into [a relationship] again, I'm not ready, but when that time comes, I'll be more cautious about who I let my world open up to," she said. "People [think] because you film your life on a reality show, you live everything for the cameras. But we all have our limits. My mom has no limits. We need someone, right, to have no limits? That's my mom."
Well, we don't think she'd turn down the attention that comes with dating Jeremy Lin if given the chance.
It's never good news when everyone in your family hates your husband. If you watched even just ten minutes of Kourtney and Kim Take New York you'd see that the only person -- including his own wife -- who could stand to be around Kris Humphries was Kourtney's baby daddy Scott Disick. And Khloe Kardashian was certainly no fan.
Now Kim's sis has broken her silence about what went down between the two and why she obviously hated Humphries' guts.
"The very first time I met him, he said, 'No one gets married after 30 days: How much are longer are you gonna put up this charade for?'" Khloe revealed on Jimmy Kimmel Live Thursday night. "He just rubbed me the wrong way."
Dude's lucky Khloe didn't knock him out. Interestingly, despite their blink-and-you'd-miss-it courtship, Khloe and Lamar Odom seem to have the happiest, healthiest relationship out of the entire Kardashian clan.
Of course, now that Kris and Kim are dunzo, after all the drama that went down between them, Khloe has quickly warmed up to Scott, who came out smelling like roses in comparison to Kris' often snide manner with the fam.
"He's growing on me," Khloe said.

Jessica Simpson Girls
Collection by Jessica and Ashlee Simpson
Launched in late Fall 2011 by mom-to-be Jessica Simpson and her sister, Ashlee Simpson , the Jessica Simpson Girls Collection is designed for the pre-teen crowd, with Ashlee leading the way as creative director of the brand. In addition, Jessica Simpson already has a successful line of shoes for girls -- sold at many retailers nationwide and online.
The Jessica Simpson Girls Collection is still gaining momentum , but the clothes are certainly cute, age-appropriate and well-made.
Currently in transition due to the their distributor going out of business, Little Maven, the children's clothing line by Tori Spelling, was launched in late 2009 to rave reviews. The colors, patterns and cuts of Tori's line for the littlest of tots were spot-on, combining a little bit of classic design, a little bit of beachy Los Angeles casual and a hint of vintage softness sprinkled on top. Previously sold at big name luxury retailers such as Bloomingdale's and Neiman Marcus, currently you can only find Little Maven at specialty boutiques.
The easiest way to reach the entire stock of Little Maven is to search Amazon.com, which pulls many of these sources together. Fingers crossed that Tori and her team get Little Maven in production again soon!
Harajuku Mini Collection by
Gwen Stefani
We've all heard the buzz lately about big name designers launching lines for Target. Megastar and mom of two Gwen Stefani debuted her Harajuku Mini Collection at the popular retailer in early 2012. This line didn't cause crazy crowds of eBay and fashion obsessed women to rush the doors of Target and shutdown Target.com like Missoni did in 2011, but the designs have been flying off the racks at stores, which isn't a surprise considering the collection is eye-catching, bright and fun.
The Harajuku Mini Collection is inspired by Japanese pop-culture, punk-rock and of course, Gwen Stefani's original line, Harajuku Lovers.

Everyone seems to have a thing for George Clooney these days. Classic good looks, gobs of Hollywood charm, recent Oscar nomination -- who wouldn't be dying to get close to this handsome movie star?
SheKnows sat down with the comedic legend Carol Burnett in Beverly Hills to hear about her new animated film The Secret World of Arrietty when the truth came out about her crush on George Clooney. She not only wants to get close, she's ready to move in.
"I'd hope he'd give me some of that sugar," she says. Sounds delicious, huh? You'd understand the double meaning if you're familiar with the popular children's book series, "The Borrowers," on which the film is based.
"Borrowers" are tiny people who live in the walls of human beings' houses. They survive by borrowing things that humans won't miss, like lost paperclips, thread and cubes of sugar.
When asked whose house she'd want to "borrow" in, Burnett listed George Clooney emphatically as her number one.
The 78-year-old actress is still as saucy as they come. "I love playing the villain," she says of her character Hara in the film. "Even more than the other types because you can really cut loose."
And what was it like for this animated comedian, who is used to physical comedy, to work on a film where the focus is only on her voice? "It was a challenge," she says, "because originally [the film] was in Japanese, so you had to match the movement of the cartoon as opposed to when you do a regular animation, you just do the lines as you feel them."
The Secret World of Arrietty co-stars Bridgit Mendler , plus the real life husband and wife team of Amy Poehler and Will Arnett who play husband and wife in the film as well.
The Secret World of Arrietty releases in theaters Feb. 17.
