Baby Sleep
Problem...PLEASE PLEASE Help!!!?My son is
5 months and has never been a great sleeper...His cot is right next
to our bed and I always end up taking him in the bed next to me
just for the peace, but I am trying to break the habbit...he goes
to bed about 8 and sleeps about 3/4 hours, until we go to bed about
11/12 and always seems to wake up around this time, when he sees
that we are there he wont go back to
Sleep untill
I take him next to me..believe me I have tried to leave him but it
doesnt work!! Even when I take him next to me now he is waking up
every 2 hours, and will only go back to
Sleep if I
breastfeed him...I know its a comfort thing... I just dont get why
he wakes up every two hours, I dont think he is hungry as he is on
solids now, 3 times a day along with formula milk...I only really
breastfeed at night now or if he wants a 'snack'...please can
someone tell me what I am doing wrong??! I keep thinking he might
Sleep better in his own room? But I never planned
on moving him in this early.. Thanks :) forgot to add...we try to
have bedtime routine, bath, give him his bottle in bedroom with
lights off, put his music mobile on etc...just dont know what else

Pls HELP :
Baby Sleep
Problem?okay- so I'm not sure if this
situation is unique .My girlfriends think it is ! My 5 month old
co-sleeps with us. She sleeps through the night BUT moves a LOT
during the night. She moves as if she is swimming. I feed her at 10
p.m. when I put her to bed, then at 1:a.m. and then at 6 a.m.
Everytime she moves, I hold her, she calms down and then again in
30 mins she starts moving her arms and legs as if she is swimming.
I did some research online and found few blogs which insinuate that
this happens to babies in phases- although there is no real
examples behind it. Anyone experienced this? Thanks One more peice
of info- during the night she NEVER opens her eyes..she just swims
with closed eyes!

Does My
Baby Have A
Sleep
Problem? My son falls asleep by himself in his crib, but then wakes
up every two hours crying. For the first 6 hours we can usually put
his soother back in his mouth and he falls right back asleep. After
this, the interval gets shorter and eventually we cave in and bring
him to bed, where he continues to wake up, gets his soother and
then falls back asleep. So I am assuming my
Baby
has a
Sleep problem, but all the literature I have
read refers to babies who cannot fall asleep without being picked
up and comforted for a while. I guess the soother does that job for
us, so perhaps its the same thing. Do we need to turn to Ferber, or
are there other less drastic measures?

Why Do So Many People Have A
Problem With Your
Baby Sleeping In The Same Bed As You?A lot of
poeple I've talked to say never to start that because you'll have a
hard time with trasitioning them back to sleeping by themselves. My
Baby has been sleeping in the same bed as us since
he was born and he's 9 months now. Almost everyone I've talked to
said they did the same thing and there was no
Problem getting them to
Sleep by
themselves. Who is against it, and why? Who is for it, and why?

How Much Does Your
Baby Sleep
During The Day?My daughter is now 5 months old and she generally
takes about 2-3 naps during the day, totalling 3-4 hours in all.
I've noticed that sometimes at night she won't want to go to bed if
she has slept more than usual during the day. I realize that all
babies differ as far as how much
Sleep they need
and whether that interferes with their nighttime
Sleep but I am just curious how many naps your
Baby takes and for how long. My 15 month old takes
one 2-3 hour nap per day and has no
Problem
sleeping at night. Thanks in advance.

6 Month
Baby Sleep
Problems?I am completely open to methods
from all mothers who have managed to get their 6 month old to
Sleep through the night. My son is so great during
the day. A total angel. Sleeps with no help for naps at 10, 1 and 5
like clockwork. I've started to introduce some rice to his diet as
well as full time breast feeding and he's loving food. Even at
7:30pm, when he rubs his eyes, he's really easy to make fall asleep
in his crib. The
Problem is that he gets up every
40 minutes to an hour and a half crying. He used to
Sleep perfectly for 4 hours and then wake the next
3 hours and again 3 hours later for feeds. Now that he's 1 week
from 6 months he's such a bad sleeper. What I'm doing now is
running to him as soon as he starts crying and then i put my hand
on his back, put the soother back in his mouth, tell him 'it's ok
and you're just going to sleep, sweetie' and he's out like a
light... at least for 40-90 minutes. It's exhausting and if I could
just get more than 2 hours
Sleep I would be so
happy. He still eats every 4 hours during the day and the night and
will gear towards weening him off the breast but in the meantime
I'd be happy with getting up every 4 hours instead of 40 minutes.
Please mothers... share your success stories. I've read TONS on
ferber,
Baby whisperer's PU/PD method etc....
Right now I just let him give me cues but it's getting me up every
hour. It's making me a zombie during the day.... THANKS! UPDATE:
Yesterday he only had 2 naps. One short in the morning and 2 hour
nap at 3. Then i fed him tons of rice cereal which he is loving and
then breast fed him before bed. He slept for a couple of hours and
woke up crying. I put in his soother and turned him on his tummy
and he was out. Then continued to wake up every hour. I did the
same thing. Soother, loving pat then he is out like a light. So now
I'm realizing he can't soothe himself back to
Sleep and needs the soother. So do I now not give
him the soother and force him to cry it out until he learns or is
this just temperary and he will learn to
Sleep
longer? it's definitely all about the soother!!
