How Did You Get Your Child To Start Sleeping In A Toddler Bed?My son is almost 2, I am pregnant with our third, due in Feb, I've got two Toddler beds and one crib. So I was planning on getting him into a Toddler bed before Feb anyway but hadn't put much thought into it. But now my son has figured out how to get out of the crib, so I guess now would be a good time to start. My daughter is 4, I don't remember having a problem with her, she was so much more advanced and I was a single mother at the time so she had always slept with me in a real bed not a crib so moving her to her own bed was really easy. So even though he is my second I feel kinda clueless on how to go about getting him to start Sleeping in a Toddler bed. He was a premie and seems a little slower with his learning and I know that he will be up and down all night and that he will get into things quietly that we may not hear right away. I know a lot of kids do that. We block off most of the house with baby gates but now he can climb over those too. continued read on.... I am not a deep sleeper and most of the time I hear every little thing, but he has gotten up a few times when I didn't hear him until 10 min or so later, estimating. I'm wondering if there are any parents out there that have found tecniques that have worked for them when it comes to this. I have no ideas. So any advice would help. Why Is My Toddler Having Trouble Sleeping?My 2 year old daughter is having a lot of trouble Sleeping in her crib. I work nights so my parents watch her while I'm at work and she wakes up in the middle of the night and will not go back to sleep in her crib. If she falls asleep in their bed and they try to put her in the crib, she tosses and turns and cries. Could the mattress be uncomfortable? Is she ready for a Toddler bed? Is It Normal That My Toddler Is Sleeping MORE Than Before? ?Lately, my Toddler has been Sleeping more. I thought toddlers slept less over time. He's 16 months. He used to go to bed between 7pm to 9pm and get up between 6am to 7am. Now, he gets cranky and ready for bed around 6pm and still gets up between 6am to 6:30am. Traveling And Sleeping With Toddler And Baby?We're traveling for Thanksgiving and our family (dad, mom, 2 1/2 yr old, and 10 month old) will be Sleeping in the same bedroom for 4 days. The baby will be in a pack and play and the Toddler has a superman Sleeping bag. Mom and Dad have a queen size bed. When Did Your Child Start Sleeping In A Toddler Bed?How did you know when he or she was ready. I'm not sure about our daughter yet- at 19 months old she still wakes up a couple times a night and is still in our bedroom (not by choice).
