Anyone Know How To Fix A Malware Dialer That Runs From Rundll32?My computer was severely infected with lots of Malware. There are a few problems remaining. One is that when I boot up the system, a Dialer automatically connects me to the Internet. It seems that in the past it has allowed the download of a lot of Malware, but now this is not happening. However, my system remains unstable and often loops when trying to start up. I installed A-squared anti-Dialer Software which informed me that my real Dialer is in windowsexplorer.exe and my malware Dialer is in windowssystem32rundll32.exe. When I tried to quarantine this malware, it seems that the entire rundll32.exe was quarantined and the computer became very unstable. I'm not sure what to do next. Is it possible to edit rundll32? Should I post the results of 'hijack this' and see if anyone has any ideas? I have spybot, earthlink protection control center, windows defender, AVG, x-ray pc, Lavasoft, hijack this, a-squared anti-dialer. I'd like to switch to DSL, but I think I have to clean up this problem before I switch. The system is very unstable and responds differently each time I start it. If I unplug the dial-up, the automatic Dialer sometimes causes the system to perpetually reboot. Sometimes the system says I've recovered from a serious error and sends a report to microsoft. Once your system has been targeted and you have set up firewalls, the infections do not stop. The firewalls can only stop some of the problems. [ Read More ]

What Is The Best Software To Detect And Protect Against Dialers?Trying to fix a friends computer and he has PeoplePc-the 'smart dialer' is glitching-it won't save the member name and password and after the third or fourth diconnect and relogon it gives the error that username and/or password are invalid even though both are correct. When the smart Dialer is dialing it says 'MyHomeMyHome 555-5555 SVC_Dialer' (the phone number is actually the correct one but I didn't post it for the obvious reasons). On the first connection made after the fresh installation of PeoplePc the smart Dialer says only 'My Home 555-5555'.
