Hypnosis For Weight Loss, Quitting Smoking, Making
Positive Life Changes??Have you ever used
Hypnosis to help you acheive a goal? I'd like to
try it for weight loss. Actually, I'd like to use it to help me
'believe' I love working out and going to the gym. I'd also like it
to make me believe I prefer healthy foods over my favorite junk
foods. Last but not least. If it works for getting fit I'd try it
to quit smoking. If you've ever tried
Hypnosis can
you tell me how effective it was? Who performed the procedure? I'd
love to hear your details and recommendations. Thanks!

Has Anybody Tried Self-hypnosis Or Meditation Cd's And Received
Benefits?I have seen all over the internet
Hypnosis Cd's, subliminal CD's, meditations
CD's... Has anybody actually tried them consistently and derived
any benefits? I am very curious to try one out. The main premise of
the CD's are tapping into the unconscious mind and reprogramming
for
Positive Changes through
repetition.

Will
Hypnosis Help My Biting?I constantly bite my
nails, my lips, the inside of my cheeks, my tongue, and food. I
seem to have an oral fixation, a sort of anxious habit, but it is
becoming very harmful. My mouth is always sore and often bleeding,
yet I cannot stop. My dentist told me that biting the inside of my
mouth to extremes is, in a sense, self-mutilation. It has got to
stop. I'm wondering if hypnosis, such as at
Positive Changes, could help with my stress
management and get rid of my biting? I've read testimonials about
people who have stopped biting their nails, but what if mine is
more than my nails? I'm also afraid that if I get rid of biting,
that my anxious habit will simply transfer to something else, like
the people who stop food addictions and become alchoholics. What
should I do?

Hypnosis Really Help Me Work This Problem
Out?Change is hard for anyone especially when its for the better. I
am on a journey, that I absolutely can't turn back from; my life
depends on it. I am 22 years old, and I am drastically overweight.
Which is not shocking considering that 2/3 of Americans are
overweight. Since i made the choice to get myself into this
situation; I'm making the choice to remove myself from this
situation. I have too many issues that need to be dealt with from
the inside out. I can not continue to place blame on others for the
way I am. I must and I am going to take full accountability for my
actions. My goals are to workout five times a week, to go raw for
thirty days, to reconnect with God, and maintain only
Positive healthy thoughts. I am not expecting
support from my family, since i feel that the majority of them are
extremely negative. I will only tell people who i feel i can trust
and that are non-judging and concerned. Like I said earlier i have
various issues from emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual that
needs to be dealt with. this is definitely going to a challenge,
but I'm all out of options and almost time.

Forgiving Yourself And Moving On?Ok, so I am 29 and I would
probably describe myself as less than successful. Recently I have
lost my job and my girlfriend in a less than 2 week period. These
events have forced me to take a long hard look at my life and where
I am going in the future. In that reflection, I have realized that
I have been living with 'peter pan syndrome' for the past 7 years.
I've never truly lived out on my own (always with roommates)Never
owned a car or had the desire to drive and I haven't figured out
what I wanted to do with school (I went back because I felt I
'should' instead of wanting too...bad reason). Also, I have lived
for the longest time with a shitty attitude about work and life in
general. In addition to this, I struggle with ADHD Issues as well
as dystimia....two things I haven't taken responsibility for
improving until now.....ADHD and dystimia could have effected
things and might have had a part in where I am now...anyway, I have
been taking measures to improving my adhd symptoms including diet
change, intense exsorcise and meditation/self-hypnosis...I'm trying
to get medication for adhd as well so I can concentrate
better....basically I'm trying to get my life back together and
make some real goals so I can be successful. I also been seeing a
life coach who specializes in add, and I been going to a unitarian
church to change my outlook on life and get a more
Positive life view..my question is, how do you
forgive yourself for spending the last 10 years of your life
essentially a loser? I enrolled in a dental assisting program to
get a better job....your thoughts? I enjoy the unitarian church so
far, only went once. I cannot tolerate the insane dogma, rigid
rules, and irrationality that comes from Islam and Christianity.
I'm going into dental assisting because I want a better
job....suicide isn't an option so I'm not worried about
that...although I have pondered the appealing aspects of slipping
into nonexistence Marijuana is not an option, and causes more harm
than good. Not only that, but I absolutely hate it....I hate the
smell of it, everything...I do think it should be completley legal
and regulated as is alcohol TN: So, let's say the creater of the
polio vaccine....this guy was a jew I believe, and what he did
saved the lives of millions of people. Some people say that despite
that fact, he is going straight to hell because he didnt accept
Jesus....if that's your idea of god, then count me out!

Psychology Questions? Please help... 1.) Robert went to a hypnotist
to help him quit smoking. Which of the following predictions best
states what the hypnotist would do? The hypnotist would suggest
Changes in Robert’s feelings, perceptions,
thoughts, or behaviors related to smoking. The hypnotist would
stimulate Robert’s five senses using monotonous hypnotic induction
and force him to quit smoking. The hypnotist would ask Robert to go
to sleep until the
Hypnosis is over. The hypnotist
would ask Robert to do something that is against his will to
motivate him to stop smoking. 2.) People who are depressed are more
likely to eat chocolate to feel better. Which of the following
explains this mood change? The brains of depressed people produce
too little serotonin, and eating chocolate increases the amount of
this neurotransmitter in the brain. The perception of a depressed
person is negative, and the dopamine in chocolate makes the brain
have a
Positive perspective. Certain memories may
be the cause of depression, and eating chocolate effects
norepinephrine levels and minimizes the ability to remember.
Depressed people have too little acetylcholine, so they feel
lethargic, and the caffeine in chocolate gives them energy. 3.)
Hans is watching television while talking on the phone to his
friend about their favorite video game. When he hangs up, Hans
doesn’t remember what was on television while he was talking to his
friend. Which of the following best explains Hans’s experience? A
human brain can’t process and interpret visual and auditory stimuli
at the same time. Selective attention allows us to sense some
stimuli without actually perceiving them. When we encounter several
stimuli, we will only sense the ones that are loudest. When we
encounter a figure-ground relationship, we have to separate stimuli
from one another.
