What Should I Do If I Suspect My Appraisal Was Deliberately Undervalued On My House?I have had 3 appraisals done, for different mortgage companies. The first was very good. The second, I don't know much about, but after the company got it back they started to process our application, so it must have been ok, the third one had false statements on it and even a picture they said was of the inside of my House which showed a moldy wall to back up their claim that we need a new roof. That picture was not of the inside of my house, I do not have a leak, do not have a moldy wall, and have no idea where they got the picture. Was it incompetence or did they do it deliberately? I think so, I can't imagine why, but it lost us the refinance we were trying for. What should I do? I have talked to another appraiser who offered to look at my House for free, but that would be a 4th Appraisal and what good would that do? Need Help On Home Appraisal For A Divorce With Recent Renovations.?We owned the home for only 2 years during our marriage but put 14,000 into upgrades such as insulations, new bathroom floor, sink etc, new water heater, running heat ducts to each room upstairs instead of 1 vent by the steps, replaced old sliding doors with french, new front door etc.. This is 14,000 we sunk in the home during our marriage just at that area. We also bought an outdoor wood burner that heats the water and pipes it underground to heat your House off your own wood safely and heats water for free. This was around $10,000 apprxx and maybe 2 gran is owed. My soon to be x is saying there is not any equity in the home so that he gets to keep it, along with most of my things too. I have the Appraisal from Jan 2005 and it has 2 figures one is 138,000 the other maybe 118,000 which is what we talked them down to for the sale. As of Jan 2007 110,000 was owed on the principle. Has Anyone Heard Of The Free College Education In Oberlin, OH At Oberlin College?It is true, I have a House for sale here appraised at 335K I am going into an assisted living and must sell it. 5 bedrooms 4.5 baths 3800 sq ft, best offer takes it, the link to the website on the Free college is www.oberlin.k12.oh.us/ocscholarship.htm I would take 285K for the House with Appraisal and pics on request. Would give you about 55K in equity. Is there any other place that offers a Free college education if your child attends high school there? I believe this is very unique. Oberlin College is rated number #8 by Us News and World Report as a liberal arts college. I think there are 2 other universities in the US that offer this program.
