Can A Satellite Tv Installation Hook Into My House Which Is Prewired For Cable?I've always been hesitant about switching to Satellite due to the length of contract to bag a free installation, and also because I have a big house and I'm concerned that there will be a lot of wall ripping in order to wire the house for satellite. I have cableTV wired throughout the house, but it comes in through the basement. How would the install work with regards to, say, DirecTV installation? As a matter of fact, I do use my televisions as my computer monitors, and have for almost a decade now. I'm going to research this Satellite PC method, to find the most reputable company. Frankly I don't know why everyone doesn't hook a computer into their TV, it opens of a wide range of media options. Hmmm, just found out these Satellite for PC things are bogus. Question About Satellite Tv Installation?We are thinking about getting Satellite Tv but we are wondering about how it is installed. I know they will have to put a whole in the outside wall but how do they run it to the TVs? Do they run the wires through the wall or can they put them along the walls at the floor? Also one of the rooms does not have a phone jack so do you have to have one (if you do we can always get a wireless one I guess) ? I am also wondering if you have to have a credit card to order Dish Network or if you can just get a monthly bill through the mail and pay by check. Direct Tv Satellite Installation Problem?Hello, I want to install the Satellite myself. The dish system including the receiver is proven to work, it was installed by a professional but due to house moving I had to take it down and realign the dish at my new house. Am completely new to this, so am getting this problem where the screen just say searching for Satellite signal. Now I already have signal for the Satellite (b) 119 which is basic channel I believe. The signal is over 90% so that's good but am not getting any signal for the other Satellite 109 and 110, is that normal? What do I need to do to make my dish work?
