Raw
Food Question?....(i Think The
Vegans/vegetarians Will Know)?What is a
Raw
Food diet? Is there a name for these people who
follow it? Do they eat anything from animals? Or is it even
stricter than being a vegan? (no, i don't think being a vegan is
hard! lol) I'm just currious. I saw a
Raw
Food Cook
Book at Barnes and Noble a few weeks ago and I
was trying to figure out if the author was a man or a woman so i
couldn't concentrate on the diet....lol. Turns out it was a man.
(he had long blond hair and his clothes were questionable..lol)

of him - Thanks for reminding me of his name.

Could You Please Recommend A Good
Raw 'cook'
Book?I have two
Raw books but they don't seem very
easy. If you could recommend a juicer that isn't too expensive that
would be helpful also. I already have a dehydrator and have made
some veggie chips on it. but I want to do more (like breads). I
love my blender and use it ALOT. I make flax seed meal and almond
meal and blend every
Food I think of blending with
my awesome little blender. I also need more kid friendly meals
Thanks. There is a place around where I live called awesomefoods.
(www.awesomefoods.com). that makes kick 'A'
Raw
food. That is what I am trying to do so my kid will eat it also and
so I don't always have to buy it when I am craving it.

Beginner To
Raw Food Diet And
Confused! What Are The Biggest No No's In Ingredient Labels To
Watch For?ok im looking to start a
Raw
Food diet (i bought the
Book the
Raw Food detox diet by natalie
rose) i do NOT want to go 100% raw, the
Book says
there are those of u
Raw foodists that only go 80%
(maybe someday ill go 100 but not right now) my questions are- i
love hot peppers yet they are actually a fruit...however in most
cuisines they are used like a vegetable..so im confused as to when
i can eat them on my 80%raw diet..meaning i eat cooked
Food still around suppertime and in the past i
always enjoyed eating
Raw hot peppers with my
spaghetti IS THIS OK (by the 80%
Raw
Food diet) i cannot stress enough the fact that i
am not talking about a 100%
Raw
Food diet. so can i use hot peppers as a veggie?
is it neutral?? i don't want to say good bye to my hot sauces and
hot peppers!!! other question i always have bought whole wheat and
multigrain pastas but there are so many diff ingredients in
different brand names...ugh what ingredients should be no no's to a
Raw Food diet (not just pasta
labels) looking forward to your answers :) .

For My Dog, Any Help From A Vet Or Experience BARF Diet Feeder?Ok,
I have a year old Australian Shepherd. I really want to put her on
Raw healthy food. My Dad and I hunt and we usually
save fat, extra meat, and such for the dogsif we ever run out
becuase its about 30 miles to were we buy our dog food. I was
wondering, if I can actually use better cutlets of the venison- or
other meats such as rabbit- and serve them to her. And do I serve
it raw, boiled, cooked? A book, website, personal advice, or
anything that could help- well, could help! On the enzymes thing, I
am growing organic rabbits (well, I plan too in the near future) so
would it be better to feed her that?

How Do You Start A
Raw Food
Diet?My husband and I are both obese and need to lose 80-100 pounds
each. A friend recommended a
Raw
Food diet, where you eat as much as you want
without having to cook. Does anyone know where I can get info on
how to begin, any supplements/vitamins that would be necessary (or
how to get everything our bodies need from this type of eating),
without me having to order a book?

Interested In A Vegan And
Raw
Food Diet?I am really interested in starting this
for the health benefits but I seem to be addicted to cooked, and
overprocessed food. Does anyone know of any really good books about
this with some recipes for me to get started with? Yes, sushi is my
favorite food!! If not vegan than maybe vegetarian. I would still
like to eat some dairy and fish.

Raw Food????? Just A Few Questions......?Ok, I am hopefully getting
a dog soon and have now decided that I would like to feed he/her
Raw food. I believe it is the most natural and
healthy way of feeding my dog and any dog for that mater. Here is
some meats that I will feed (all raw!): - Rabbit - Lamb Brain -
Lamb Kidneys - Lamb liver/fry - Ox Tail - Chicken Wings - Whole
Turkey - Duck Legs - Venison - Egg (with or without shell) - Salmon
- Sardines - Kangaroo - Tinned Mackerel - Chicken Necks - Lamb Is
there any other meats you think should be added to the list? What
fruits/vegetables would be good to supplement with the meat? Should
I give any supplements? If so, what should I give? Can I add other
things like yogurt to his/her diet? Could you please show a sample
menu of what YOU feed your dog? Can you feed processed treats? (I
am aware that cooked
Food digests differently to
Raw food) This is the brand of treats I am
thinking of feeding her:
http://www.puppypatisserie.com.au/products.htm It is certified
organic, all ingredients are human grade, contains NO added
sugar/salt and has NO fillers, wheat, preservatives and artificial
colours or flavours in any of their products. And one last
question....... what are some good books on feeding
Raw to your dog? Thank you. all answers
appreciated! Please serious and actually worth while answers only!

Dog
Food Commercial,
Raw Or Home
Cooked?I have had some serious issues with both my dogs and their
food. Either they both have serious sensitive stomachs, or they
have allergies or they are eating something other then there
Food that I am not aware of. Anyways I went from
commercial dog
Food (which none of them seemed to
work) to
Raw food, which was o.k but my one dog
had like petrified saw dust looking poop. Then I read a
Book on pet nutrition and I started making my own
dog food. They did amazing on the first batch but by the second
patch they had loose stool again. And my 9 month old had serious
joint problems and has already had shoulder surgery so I was a
little worried that he wasn't getting to right amount of calcium
and nutrients that he needed. So Im back on commercial. He's eating
Natural balance allergy formula and my other one is on Nutro
sensitive stomach...one of them in not eating at all and the other
one has barely pooped. Any suggestions?

Parents. Do You Expect Your Kids To
Cook Their Own
Food? Or Do You
Cook For Them?My mom used to
Cook for me everyday, but now she's stopped and
expects me to
Cook my own food. I'm talking about
like roast beef, steak dinners, cheeseburgers, dinner food. My mom
never taught me how to
Cook and Idk how. I look
online and use
Cook books and everything, but it
always comes out horrible. My steaks are always
Raw on the inside, or burnt on the outside she
gets pissed. I almost burnt down the house the other day the fire
fighters came. I have to spend my own money on fast
Food every day. When I ask her why she makes me
Cook myself, she tells me that all the of her
friends kids
Cook themselves. She said it was
normal for kids to make dinner themselves. I'm starving right now
trying to
Cook a steak. I'm talking ages 14-15.
I'm wondering how normal this is. Would/do you make your 14-15 year
old
Cook their own dinner? If they aren't that
old, if they were, would you?

Are There Carcinogens In Microwaved Food?In Dr. Lita Lee's book,
Health Effects of Microwave Radiation - Microwave Ovens, and in the
March and September 1991 issues of Earthletter, she stated that
every microwave oven leaks electro-magnetic radiation, harms food,
and converts substances cooked in it to dangerous organ-toxic and
carcinogenic products. Further research summarized in this article
reveal that microwave ovens are far more harmful than previously
imagined. The following is a summary of the Russian investigations
published by the Atlantis Raising Educational Center in Portland,
Oregon. Carcinogens were formed in virtually all foods tested. No
test
Food was subjected to more microwaving than
necessary to accomplish the purpose, i.e., cooking, thawing, or
heating to insure sanitary ingestion. Here's a summary of some of
the results: * Microwaving prepared meats sufficiently to insure
sanitary ingestion caused formation of d-Nitrosodienthanolamines, a
well-known carcinogen. * Microwaving milk and cereal grains
converted some of their amino acids into carcinogens. * Thawing
frozen fruits converted their glucoside and galactoside containing
fractions into carcinogenic substances. * Extremely short exposure
of raw, cooked or frozen vegetables converted their plant alkaloids
into carcinogens. * Carcinogenic free radicals were formed in
microwaved plants, especially root vegetables. * Decrease in
nutritional value Russian researchers also reported a marked
acceleration of structural degradation leading to a decreased
Food value of 60 to 90% in all foods tested. Among
the changes observed were: Deceased bio-availability of vitamin B
complex, vitamin C, vitamin E, essential minerals and lipotropics
factors in all
Food tested. Various kinds of
damaged to many plant substances, such as alkaloids, glucosides,
galactosides and nitrilosides. The degradation of nucleo-proteins
in meats.
