Where Can I Find A Raw Food Diet Plan?Preferably made by a real nutritionist, with recipes, no more than 1200 calories, and low glycemic. I read a book extolling the virtues of this kind of diet, but it didn't have a daily menu. It's very hard to get started on such an unusual Diet without a Menu and recipes. The most important thing to me is that the Diet was designed by a nutrition professional. There are too many diets out there made by doctors with phds that have nothing to do with nutrition. Raw Food Diet For A Week?I've always wanted to try a Raw Food diet. I keep talking myself out of it because I'm convinced I can't do it for life and keep thinking about work lunches, family thanksgivings and all this other b.s. that keeps me from trying it. I would like to try it one day at a time and just see what happens. Examples Of Puppy Diet For Raw Food?hi guys gals Im getting a staff puppy on friday,she will be 8 weeks I have been researching what to feed her Im gonna go with Raw food,I want some examples of daily diets or menus.I have joined the barfdiet yahoo group but its very quiet! The Raw Food Diet For Dogs.. What Does This Sound Like?Hi. I have been researching into the BARF Diet and have come up with this as a basic Menu; please voice opinions! Every Morning feed Raw bones (using different meats daily) Evenings; Every day feed Meat (chicken, lamb, turkey, beef) about 5x a week with veg and a couple of times with fruit as well codliver oil added about 3 x a week salmon oil added about 5 x a week primrose oil added 1 x a week kelp/alfalfa added 3x a week vitamin E added 5 x a week Eggs 1-2x a week Feed kidney, liver once a week mixed in with the above... How does this sound? Please voice any opinion you have of what im feeding too much or too little off.... Thankyou. P.S. is there any food(s), supplements i should add that Support my dog thru Dog Agility and supply them with energy to be able to work thru out the day and make them feel energised? Thanks for any suggestions and opinions of what i will soon (hopefully!) be feeding. Sorry one more thing what do people think of adding natural probiotic yogurt and brown rice (only very occasionally) to the diet... Food Question - Orijen, Raw Diet Etc.?Hi :] Another Food question - i get sick of seeing them x] You might want to eat me after hearing this (Americans/Canadians anyhow) - we are currently feeding our puppy James WellBeLoved (actually you may not even have it over there..) well on the DogFoodAnalysis site it is a 3 star food. It's first 2 ingredients are: Rice, Turkey Meat Meal. I'm a member of a Shih Tzu forum (mostly UK members) and they think that it is a good quality food. Over here we don't have Canadian brands such as Orijen available (other than online) so most people feed either Raw diet, JWB, Eukanuba, Royal Canin etc. I enquired about Raw feeding on the forum and a few people feed Raw - 'Natures Menu' nuggets (link: http://www.naturesmenu.co.uk/products/frozen/). I thought that Raw was..feeding cuts of meat and a lot of effort but this is effortless, natural Food in nugget form. Anyone in the UK had these (or US, wherever) and would you consider them a healthy Diet for my Shih Tzu? -- continued -- What would you recommend? How Can I Create A Healthy, Balanced Raw Diet For My Large Breed Puppy?My husband and I recently adopted a rescue puppy who is half Newfoundland, half Great Pyrenees. He is very healthy and growing rapidly and is early on in his development at just about 15 weeks old now. I have done a great deal of research on providing the most natural, healthy Diet for dogs and am very interested in beginning to create a Raw foods Menu for him. This makes great sense to me for his overall well being, and it would be my pleasure to offer nutritious meals for him. I have some questions about this in general, and will be sure to consult with our trusted vet before proceeding. -What meats do you recommend including? -What vegetables and vitamins? -What amount would I feed daily? -How much could I expect to spend on maintaining this type of Diet for a large breed dog? He presently weighs about 32 lbs. and eats the recommended 4 to 5 cups of premium puppy Food each day. He will likely be 140 to 180 lbs. He is a rescue and since my question was not about what Food he is on *now* but rather about people's experience, advice, and feedback on the *transition* to a Raw Food diet, I didn't go into detail about his rescue history, but the puppy formula is provided on the direct advice of both vets. On A Raw Food Diet, What Tips Do You Have For Dining Out Ordering In A Restaurant,for Example A Steakhouse?i know that you can have a tasty Raw meal that consists of more than fruits and veggies b/cuz you can sear meat w/out killing off all the enzymes... but i was doing some research on a couple of steakhouses and their menus, and pretty much like half of the choices are seared... so i guess my question is, if it is seared does that necessarily mean it is 'raw' (not 100% raw, just enough so that the digestive enzymes arent destroyed)? what are some tips on ordering when they ask, 'how would you like your steak?' any other tips on dining out while staying MOSTLY Raw (not 100%) are appreciated too.. thanks =D and when i want a mostly Raw steak, how can i ensure it is safe? I Am Looking For Ready Made Raw Dog Food?I hope that someone can help, I have just found out that my dog is allergic to a hell of a lot of things including chicken, peas, barley and corn (i will have full confirmation tomorrow of everything).
