A big thank you to BAFDA, MIT FMUG, Harvard ABCD FileMaker's Working Group, and FileMaker Inc. for hosting all of us in Boston for our little conference on design and user interaction. I had a great time hanging out with lots of amazing, passionate developers.
Plus, the kind folks at MIT FMUG hooked me up with these for the kids!
Totally. Awesome. Cheers!
The nice folks from Harvard's ABCD FileMaker Working Group, Boston Area FileMaker Developer's Association and MIT's FileMaker User Group have invited me to present at their little FileMaker conference this coming Thursday.

Just a quick note to thank everyone who filled out my session evaluations--your comments are invaluable and will help me make the next one even better (God(s) willing).
One more thing; I am planning on releasing the client-side form validation demo; hang tight, it may take me a couple of days to get to it! If you are desparate, email me ernest.koe[at]proofgroup.com and i'll get you an advance copy.
I had the tremendous privilege to speak again at FileMaker DevCon this year. In case you missed DevCon 2011, it was a heck of a show.
I have said this before and I'll say it again, I am really excited about the future of Filemaker; not just because its technology continues to take us to new and important places but also because its community continues to elevate itself at an impressive rate.
It was great fun to catch up with everyone again. Kudos to all the speakers and attendees, and a special thanks to everyone who attended my panel and sessions:
I am really pleased to announce that I'll be co-hosting and leading Don Levan's (Vanguard Custom Software) upcoming interaction design workshops for FileMaker developers.
We had so much fun in NYC we decided to do it again. Here's the link the main site: http://fmcraft.com/
Real quick, the dates are March 9, 2011 in Atlanta, hosted by our good friends at 360Works and April 13th in San Francisco, hosted by SavvyData!

I'm trying to figure out a way where
I can have a single container field on a layout, but be able to
either:
1. Set the container field up as repeating, and be able to change
which repition is displayed on the layout or
2. Include the container in a portal to a related table, and be
able to have a nice interface for switching between related
records

Like most FileMaker users, we were excited to learn about the release of FileMaker Go for the iPhone and iPad. It promises to offer a new level of flexibility in connecting with your data that many of us have been looking forward to for a long time. FileMaker has done a very nice job with this product.
