Piano Chord Lesson - How Would You Classify This Kind Of Piano Lesson?i was wondering what it would be called if i said i wanted to work on my understanding of piano chord compositions with chord roots the roles of 9ths 5ths and 6ths of minors and majors. And learning how they can contribute to a song. (ie happy/upbeat feel sad/dramatic vibe). would this be considered music theory or is there another more appropriate term for this type of learned?? {if you need further explanation and am confused about what im asking feel free to ask} - Piano Chord Lesson

Jazz Piano Chord Question?Hey guys, So I take Piano lessons and my teacher wanted me to make up a cool short 'tune' using only these chords (in the order shown): D C Bm A. And the only thing I can think of is doing like: DD CC BmBm A... What Is A Chord Progression And How Do You Play It In The Piano?I am studying on playing the Piano and my textbook says 'Chord progressions consist of two or mjore chords played consecutively.' What does it mean by that? How do you play Chord progressions? So, there's a sample piece but I don't know how to play it.. I know Chord progressions are symbolized by letters above the G-staff but what the heck am I suppose to do with them...
