What Can One Do About Swelling From A Tattoo On The Ankle?It is less than 30 hours old and the Ankle and lower calf is swelling. Any suggestions to reduce the swelling? Ankle Swelling After Tattoo.. But Not Near Tattoo. Very Strange To Me!?I just got a Tattoo on Wed. The Tattoo is a little below my calf on my leg but about 4 or 5 inches above my Ankle and the Tattoo itself looks fine and around it looks fine but my Ankle has swollen up and it itches. Nothing is red and the Tattoo area is NOT swollen. the Tattoo area was only sore for a couple of hours. Does anyone think this has anything to do with the tattoo? I work where i stand on my feet a lot and i have had a previous sergery on my other foot that swells during work but i dont know a reason for my Ankle to swell but nothing else swells. I have been cleaning my Tattoo about 3-4 times a day and i keep it moist. I will call my Tattoo artist tomorrow but i was wondering if anyone thinks it has anything to do with the Tattoo or if anyone has experienced this before. Thanks everyone! Is It Normal To Experience Swelling From An Ankle Tattoo?I just got a Tattoo a couple of days ago all the way around my Ankle and the next day I noticed some Swelling around my ankle, but it just got worse and now my whole foot is swollen; even on top to the point that my toes feel like they're going to go numb. I was just wondering if anyone had this happen to them before or if this is normal. Someone told me that it is normal to have some Swelling with tattooes around bone lines and such, but I think that my foot maybe swollen more than normal for a tattoo. I have another Tattoo above my Ankle and never experienced swelling. I'm not sure if I should just wait it out or be concerned; I think that there may be something else wrong with my foot. Ankle Tattoo... Swollen?my g/friend had her Ankle tattooed on tuesday (2days ago). It's a big tatt (covering her actual Ankle bone, top of foot and side calf). The entire outline was done and the calf part was also coloured. Approx 4hrs of tattooing was done. Her Ankle is easily twice the size but doesnt appear to be infected. She is elevating it as much as possible, except for while at work, taking an anti-inflam and icing it. Is it normal to be this swollen? Mine have never swelled like this, but i dont have leg tatts. My Ankle Tattoo Is Swollen But Not Painful Is This Normal?I got a Tattoo about 3 days ago and its is my seventh one, but my first one anywhere below the waist. It is right above my right Ankle bone. It seemed swollen the first day but not that painful, and by the second day I was walking completely normally. I noticed yesterday though that my tattooed Ankle and my foot are quite swollen in comparison to my other one. Should Your Ankle Tattoo Be Swollen After 1 1/2 Weeks?I got a Tattoo on my Ankle about 11 days ago, and the area around the Tattoo is still swollen and red. I figure that it will be swollen just because it is right next to the bone.
